Baitcaster Reel
Geez.... After five pages it's time to buy a Shimano! :
-
G. Loomis Virgin
Alright, the rod you want is the MBR844C, IMX or GLX. If I only owned one rod, this is the one. 8-)

New Flip and Pitch Reel from Ardent
Just another silly marketing ploy. :

new to smallies
Well, I think the best advice would be to browse back through the last twenty pages of this section for suggestions. Otherwise, I would fish tubes and single tail grubs from the bank. 8-)

What size shirt do you wear?
I would guess that men's shirt sizes break down something like this: 20% Small 40% Medium 30% Large 10% X-Large 8-)

New Flip and Pitch Reel from Ardent
Raul, Tell us the story about inventing the leash. Do you remember when you were having problems walking your baby triceratops? Did that inspire you to become a veterinarian?
-
Addicted to top water frogs!
Nice pic! I think the low hook-up ratio is probably from being too quick. When you get a strike, lower your rod tip and reel down until you feel the fish before setting the hook. 8-)

Using SW soft baits in a FW application
I guess no one can figure out what question you are asking. If the lure is a frog, you would generally use that on top of weeds or pads, not for jigging. 8-)

Looking for a good cheap bass boat...
Dude, Grow some thicker skin. Nobody is "talking down" to you, even if that's how you see it. These guys have been around the block and are just sharing what they have faced. Life is "learned" while we all struggle through and these comments come from the "voice of experience". If you choose to move forward with you purchase, I say good for you, go for it! 8-)

Spinning Rods
This is all you "need": http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1196114229 After that, it's "the perfect rod" for a specific application. G.Loomis and most manufacturers offer "technique specific" rods for those guys (like me) who are "collectors". Most of it is just marketing, but it's fun having exactly the right tool for the job. 8-)

Record striper caught in RI
I spend more time striper fishing than hunting green bass. This story is really something. I'm looking forward to the pics, too! 8-)
