  1. I have never experienced binding and although I have heard this said, I have never met anyone in person that has experienced this "problem". So, I am not disparaging you, I simply do not think this is a "common problem". :
  2. Not offended. I applaud myself and the rest of the audience for picking a show that was worth it for a change! Everyone at my showing stood up to applaud. I thought the production was exceptional. BTW, We raise the roof at my house everytime the Broncos make a great play, let alone score! 8-)
  3. It was an accident, a collision: http://uk.reuters.com/article/environmentNews/idUKN2332342820080723 I think a lot of people care. An emergency response is in process. Everything that can be done is being done to contain and clean-up the mess.
  4. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  5. What! That's why we're all here!
  6. Nice bass! 8-)
  7. This probably isn't the answer you are looking for, but it's my suggestion: Mattlures Baby Bass can be fished on a MH or Heavy Power bass rod, no special equipment is required. The lure is a proven producer and I think, a great place to start. I have had very good success throwing this bait and at 3 for around $34 you can afford to lose one! 8-)
  8. Spinning tackle: Yo-Zuri Hybrid Ultra Soft #6 (.010" diameter, 11.9 lb test) Baitcasting gear: Ultra Soft #12 (.013" diameter, 19.5 lb test) 8-)
  9. RW I don't understand your suggestion? Any new reel with any problem right out of the box should be returned for exchange. I'm not going to "fix" a new reel. Quantum has a well know reputation for problems with quality control. My other comment alluded to having more problems down the road. At every pricing point, I think other brands are better alternatives. 8-)
  10. That's a beauty! 8-)
  11. Are any of our boys invited? 8-)
  12. Yep, that's a big ole goodun'! 8-)
  13. This should be exciting, but I'm surprised they could get the Kalifornia guys to come to Texas! :
  14. Are Shimano products generally better quality/performance than other brands? Strong, smooth, silent and reliant. You will be very happy with Shimano reels, but to address the original question, we have several members who are Quantum fans. I am not one of them. I think you would be better off with another brand, whether it's Shimano, Daiwa or Abu Garcia. 8-)

  16. Welcome aboard! The chances are good that the fish will be fine. 8-)
  17. Welcome aboard! Jig 8-)
  18. The March by E.L. Doctorow http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_March_(novel) Well that link doesn't copy for some reason. Type it in yourself for a summary and overview. 8-)
  19. Welcome aboard! As long as you set your drag properly (2 - 2.5 lbs) you will be fine. 8-)
  20. Before you try to fix it, try taking the rod back to BPS for exchange. Their customer service is topnotch and I bet they swap you out on the spot. If not, BPS will repair the rod for free. 8-)
  21. uhhh, Never mind... Take it back for exchange and keep doing that every few months until you decide you have had enough. :
  22. Hmm... Not me, I would find somewhere else to fish. Small bodies of water may not be stocked and more importantly, they tend to dry out and kill everything over a period of years. Unless I know there is potential, I wouldn't have any interest. 8-)
