  1. I've been 39 for awhile. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it! 8-)
  2. I thought this was the site you were linking: http://www.animatedknots.com/indexfishing.php?LogoImage=LogoGrog.jpg&Website=www.animatedknots.com I reference this one often on the Forum, it's very helpful. Here are a couple more: http://www.proknot.com/Fishing_Knots/fishing_knots.html This one offers more choices: http://www.netknots.com/html/fishing_knots.html 8-)
  3. Wow! This is an incredible thread. Thank you! 8-)
  4. I have the Lamiglas SR705R designed by Skeet Reese. This is the perfect rod for deep cranking and fishing any big, treble hook lure. The design, components and craftmanship are top notch and the rod balances well with a fullsize reel. Mine is matched with a Shimano CTE200GT. As a bonus, the rod is currently on sale at Cabela's: http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0037314120919a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&QueryText=sr705r&N=4887&Ntk=Products&Ntx=mode+matchall&Nty=1&Ntt=sr705r&noImage=0 8-)
  5. I've seen some clips of fish jumping in the boat; that's the only way it can be explained. 8-)
  6. Hmm... I don't know, some guys have had great luck with JJ's, but MegaStrike is a proven winner. I'm not taking sides, but for "everyday use" it's MegaStrike just because it's so easy. MegaStrike has a Vasoline consistancy and comes in an easy to use tube. JJ's stinks, stains, spills and is not eay to carry or clean up. I am NOT knocking JJ's Magic, but you have to be careful and in a semi-controlled situation. Try them both, you will like them for different reasons. If your not married and want to stay that way, stick with JJ's. : 8-)
  7. Great advice. Those fish are uncatchable, but fun to watch. If you are just totally focused on fishing and don't want to lay back, move on. Those fish are not a high percentage target. 8-)
  8. You need to get together with Bud & CJ over on Kentucky Lake. I know Bud's been killin' 'em. 8-)
  9. Ain't it something how the "biggun's" are the ones that get awaY? :
  10. Please read FAQs: http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?virboard=Fishing_Tackle_ID;num=1133376419 BTW, Welcome aboard! 8-)

  13. "I resemble that remark!" If you haven't fished the Cavitron, give it a shot. It planes quickly, creates a nice bubble wake and produces a unique "chirping" sound. I have had a couple of exceptional mornings throwing the 3/8 oz black on black. 8-)
  14. Well, For the rest of us, outside The Peoples Republic of Kalifornia, those are nice fish and you had a day we would all like to have! Nice pics, I particularly like the natural beauty you were able to capture in the background. 8-)
  15. Take them back to wherever you bought them and exchange the lures for something else. 8-)
  16. DUDE! From someone else, I might have deleted this post, but it struck me as pretty funny: Bobby = MegaStrike : JJ's Magic is a sponsor, too, but let's be careful here. We can like them both! 8-)
  17. Welcome aboard! I'm sure a few guys will have comments for you. 8-)
  18. Our sponsors are allowed to promote their products, unauthorized advertising or promotion is not. If you notice something you suspect violates this policy, please notify me or another Moderator via PM. Thank you, -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  19. Please format your posts in paragraphs. Otherwise, most people will simply skip over your comments. Continuous script is very hard on the eyes, especially mine! :
  20. That just about sums it up. 8-)
  21. ** MODERATOR NOTE ** Daiwa's comments on the "Sponsor" thread resulted in having it closed. This one is now closed, too. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  22. Well my friend, I understand exactly what you are saying. There are always trade-offs. I would hope new members would make the effort to introduce themselves so the entire membership can say "Welcome!". Otherwise, it is difficult to tell when someone is brand new. 8-)
  23. ** MODERATOR NOTE ** People have tried to help. Enough of this silliness. This thread is closed.
  24. Hmm... Why not try another line? I don't use braid and my line never breaks. :
