  1. Extemely cold weather can cause a fish kill if the lake turns over, but warm weather NEVER kills in such an extreme. I think there is more to this than meets the eye.
  2. I'm a striper and smallmouth fisherman, but you left out the strongest freshwater fish: German Brown trout The German brown trout NEVER gives up! 8-)
  3. Suck it up! Old pics don't count, GAME starts March 1, 2008! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  4. "Big ones line up, little ones bunch up": Let the GAMES begin! 8-)
  5. Welcome aboard! 8-)
  6. Don't get mad, we gotta do maintenance to "maintain" the site. It might seem like magic, but it ain't! Glenn puts in "a little time" to keep things ticking around here.
  7. Nice collection...REALLY nice! 8-)
  8. Once you get use to it, you won't even think about it. Otherwise, you'll need to get a different reel.
  9. Nope. Baitcasters traditionally come with right-hand retrieve, but today most reels are offered right or left. However, baitcasters cannot be modified.
  10. The Big Guy in black leather chaps? :
  11. Did you take the pictures from a reflection in a mirror? All the handles seem to be on the wrong side. : 8-)
  12. I bet it has the "right" ones! I don't have a Core...yet, but The Bait Monkey thinks I "need" one. : 8-)
  13. Boots when it cold, Sperry Top-Siders when it's warm. If I'm wearing pants, it's boots; shoes with shorts. In your scenario, 40-65, that means boots for me. 8-)
  14. What you are describing is "Tex-posed, skin hooked". A traditional T-rig (Texas-rig) is simply a weight and exposed hook: http://www.bassresource.com/beginner/Texas_Rig.html However, I rig most "Texas-rigs" what is called a "T-rig, weightless & weedless" just as Joel W described. All my T-rigs are Tex-posed, skin hooked. 8-)
  15. That's pretty simple. It works for me, too! 8-)
  16. Practice tying a San Diego Jam Knot. It's strong, pretty and I think you'll like it. 8-)
  17. I guess I missed whatever it is you guys are talking about, but I'll stick my nose in long enough to say, "I think Fourbizz is a stand-up guy". 8-)
  18. Greg Silks does not have a website. Do you have a number? Also, I'm still looking for other suggestions for a guide. Thank you! 8-)
  19. ** MODERATOR NOTE ** Let's stay on topic. I edited all references to what appears to be a "misunderstanding". Appologies have been made and I hope, accepted. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator
  20. Don't let it, man. The game is better than any of this garbage. It will survive if we keep eye on what matters: the action in between the baselines. Baseball survived the black sox scandal and it will survive this. If anything finally kills it, it will be greed of owners & players. Baseball ended for me with the World Series strike, although the Rockies run did tweak my interest for a fleeting moment. I doubt I will ever be a true fan again. Major League Baseball stinks from the head down. But as bad as the current problems are, it's the financial set-up that bothers me most. Unless you are a fan of the "Money Teams" your hopes of winning it all are slim. A league that has such huge discrepancies is compensation is absurb. Level the playing field or have Boston and New York play 162 games against each other! :'(
  21. I bought two a couple of years ago. I caught one (small) fish on both, let them dry and put them back in their respective boxes. I still carry them around, but I haven't actually fished them since. As FishTank said, "It's so PRETTY". 8-)
  22. Banned? No one's getting banned... We have lots of guys who fish the WRONG reels! : 8-)
  23. We will have several reports on this lure from Guntersville next month. I have fished it once, but not in what I consider the optimal situation. The main thing you'll notice is the resistance, this lure moves a lot of water! I'm confident it will be a good producer. 8-)
