  1. Sometimes I fish jigs even when I know something else would work better.
  2. Texas devotes significant resources to their fishing programs. Their ShareLunker gets a lot of well deserved praise, but Texans are particularly good at handling their bass and practicing catch and release. The biggest fish in Texas are still swimming. Water quality is another plus.
  3. I have both rigged, but prefer the 1000.
  4. Chatterbaits: Rage Blade White Skirt/ White Structure Bug https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_Tour_Grade_Rage_Blade_Swim_Jig/descpage-SKTGRB.html https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Strike_King_Rage_Bug/descpage-RGBUG.html Spinnerbaits: 3/8 oz Siebert Cosmos Compact Double Willow/ White Skirt (Lumaflex) https://siebertoutdoors.com/products/ols/products/compact-double-willow-mustad-hook https://www.jobabylures.com/store/p23/_Lumaflex__Skirts_(Package_Of_3_Skirts).html

  7. Call St. Croix. Their Customer Service is the Gold Standard.
  8. That reel is not even half full.
  9. With braid and and a leader your mainline will work for a very long time. Otherwise, I change my line "as needed". Generally, I go through about 100 yards per reel every month or so.
  10. Why does it say "Fry” or “Minnow" under my name? Those names are referring to the number of posts you've made on the forums. It breaks down like this: 0-10 = Fry 11-124 = Minnow 125-249 = Dink 250-499 = Short Fish 500-999 = Keeper 1000-1999 = Kicker 2000-3999 = Big 'un 4000-7999 = Hawg 8000+ = Double Digit These are simply references for you to help identify how often a member posts messages. They are NOT status symbols. Frivolous posts designed to add to one's post count will be removed.
  11. Call them what you like, but different profiles work better than others at times. The lizard is "old school". As much as I like the Structure Bug, Craws and a variety of worms, the Rage Lizard is a staple for me.
  12. Find somewhere else to fish.
  13. You are certainly persistent. When you think the hole is deep enough, quit digging.
  14. I NEVER fish plastics without an application of MegaStrike.
  15. Rage Tail Cut-R
  16. Take the rod & reel to the store with you and have them help you. It's simple and once they show you how to string your rod it will never be a problem again.
  17. Bill Dance, Hank Parker, G-Man, Iconelli, Big O, Glenn & Keri May.
  18. Mine is moody, too. Only has one job to do.
  19. They are eaten by scavengers.
