  1. My White River guide says the shad kill results in a feeding frenzy for big brown trout. They lose all inhibitions and actively feed during the day. Well, that is not the case with bass on the Tennessee. The sea gulls are the only thing we see aggressively attacking the dead shad.
  2. Worse news: Massive shad kill puts a stop to fishing. We can't get a bite with all the dead and dying shad. It will take a week or two for things to settle back down.
  3. It ain't over yet... Water warning: All water must be boiled for three minutes before being consumed. Memphis Airport is CLOSED to passenger traffic. Fed Ex is not affected by the order. Current temperature 12*
  4. 17* and a wind advisory tonight until 9:00 tomorrow morning. But there is good news on the horizon. Spring starts Tuesday for us! High 50's into the mid 60's next week.
  5. Two 8lb smalljaws will work just fine!
  6. I don't see PB&J.

  9. We are moving to Texas when my wife retires. Our daughter and grand babies are anxious to have us close. I am looking at Sherman, north of Dallas and about thirty minutes from the kids. Looks like the closest big water is Texoma. Anyone have anything to say about the town or lake?
  10. It's another Sunline monofilament.
  11. Well, we have a lot of fishing options in the region. If you want "big city" amenities, Nashville might be a consideration. Also, TN has no state income tax.
  12. Winter should be over by Sunday. Hope to find a few brown fish on the Tennessee River next week.
  13. Can you compare this to Sunline Defier Armilo?
  14. I want a firm tip for all single hooks. The 844 is the perfect all around rod for jigs, soft plastics, spinnerbaits and chatterbaits.
  15. Welcome aboard!
  16. Never use a chuck, threaded Rage Craw only.
  17. I am still suffering from "fishing elbow" I developed two weeks ago in Florida. Too many bass and they were all too big.
  18. Not in Tennessee...Our rocks eat them first! Does TVA report water temp like it does the flow? I can’t find it on their site. No
  19. My #1 crankbait is the Norman Fat Boy (Redear pattern) Next suggestion is Bandit 200 Another is the DT6 (Demon) One More...Bagely Balsa B2
