  1. The Rage Tail Menace is the only artificial that I have used that out-fishes live bait.
  2. Bull Shoals is a good option for you, especially for bigger smallmouth in June. This year our best trip was June 5th and 6th with over 40 smallmouth including several around 5lbs and our big bass just under 6lbs. Most of our fish were caught on Gitzits.
  3. Chick was stocked with Florida strain bass several years ago and has produced some monsters. It's a hike from here and I have never fished the lake, but am planning to next spring. Here is the story on the Tennessee State Record: https://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/2015/02/14/teacher-catches-record-largemouth/23433607/
  4. I would find somewhere else to fish.

Well, I'm in the Memphis metro (Germantown) and we are nowhere near getting "close". Fishing pressure eases when hunting season gets into full swing, more like mid October.
  7. Braided line lasts a long time, almost forever with a leader. I HIGHLY recommend Seaguar Smackdown. Tatsu is my choice for fluorocarbon, but for more affordable line I will suggest AbrazX for baitcasters and InvizX for spinning tackle.

  9. Kinda like calling soccer "football".
  10. Not me...I would rather catch one quality bass than a hundred squeakers.

    Rush hour in the country.
  12. GYCB Kut-Tail
  13. Fluorocarbon is best for bottom contact, monofilament for treble hooks. For me that's Seaguar Tatsu and Sunline Armilo.
  14. I like Siebert Outdoors and generally buy a dozen at a time. https://www.siebertoutdoors.com/main.sc
