  1. Seattle controlled most of the game and their overtime possession was VERY impressive. This game certainly lived up to its billing. I look forward to their next meeting. Salute!
  2. Rapala Original Floating Minnow size 5 silver black back, but I rarely use them.
  3. If you missed this on the Home Page, take a look http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/pinnacle-dhc7-producer-lte.html
  4. On local ponds it's about one good fish (5 lbs+) for every 1 1/2 hours of fishing. Big numbers are rare, but I had a big day a weeke ago after the flood (10" in 4 hours). My best day on big water was fishing with Dinky at Pickwick on the BassResource RoadTrip a couple of years ago- 78 bass! My very best smallmouth day in terms of size was with my dear friend Speedy Madewell in January, 2005. Fifteen brown fish, eight over 5 lbs and the following Saturday, the two fish in my avatar. Pics from that day: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing/smallmouth_record.html Best fish EVER for me was fishing on another RoadTrip at Guntersville. Alpster and I were stranded when Long Mike, Glenn and Keri came to our rescue. While Mike, Glenn and Keri were putting in, I hooked up with this: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-videos/lake-guntersville-2012.html
  5. Hmm... Spoke too soon? 17 points in 4 minutes and now Dallas is back in the hunt.
  6. Geez... Just killin' time waiting for the big game. Man, Dallas is soooooooooo bad.
  7. One bite, one fish. Last spring I caught this fish twice in three days. A week later I was fishing close to another Memphis Pond Hopper who hooked-up with this monster. I ran over to help him with a picture, but I don't think he ever posted it here. At any rate, the fish was officiallly weighed at 7 1/2 lbs. This morning I didn't have a bite. I drove back to the pond around 11:00 armed with my MBR844C/ Calcutta CTE100GT/ Tatsu #20 and rigged with a 7" Senko (green pumpkin/ black flakes), traditional rigging. Nothing for an hour, so last cast at noon, 12:00 straight up. Great fight, three jumps, clean landing and safe release. Now I'm ready for some football!
  8. Dredge Brush Jig http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Dredge-Series_c6.htm
  9. Here in the Mid South we are still about 3 weeks away.
  10. Little George is all you need. Other options are a Silver Buddy or G ay Blade. The best live bait is baby craws on a split shot rig. If you are on them you will get bit on every cast!
  11. Brady is one of the ALL TIME GREATS! But I like his wife better.
  12. The main issue around here (Mid South) is the number of "other" species. White is a favorite of crappie, striper and white bass. I rarely fish white jigs.
  13. I would agree, great "color".
  14. Seattle is a 5 point favorite Sunday at home. This should be a GREAT game and I expect this match-up again in the Super Bowl!
  15. Maybe, but this weekend will be a challenge. If the Broncos can come up with the win in Seattle, they could run the table. Salute!
  16. Your family and community are at risk. First I would speak with the school nurse and see if she runs with the ball. If not, County Health Department. Lice is easily controlled if proper steps are taken, but it is generally a broader issue than just one person or family.

  19. Big O, Bobby Uhrig and Mike Siebert come to mind.
  20. Not necessarily my most productive technique, but I love the jerkbait!
  21. Glenn put together a GREAT video and here are some others: http://www.bassresource.com/content/search?SearchText=spinnerbait&BrowsePageLimit=30
  22. When the water is high, like it is now, there is no flat bank to walk and the slope on the east side of the pond is steep. I don't golf anymore, but the shoes and spikes provide a lot of traction.
