  1. Here's a summary for those that just can't get enough! http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2014/01/30/legacy-and-lombardi-broncos-and-seahawks-meet-in-super-bowl/?intcmp=HPBucket
  2. I expect some great closeout deals next month on the Curado. G and any remaining E series. My suggestion is to buy the reel first and save your money for the rod. I really like this rod and it's reasonably priced: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/pinnacle-optimus-xlt-dhc-review.html
  3. For deep diving lures the Lamiglas SR705R is THE BOMB! Otherwise, for most cranking I'm using graphite: http://www.bassresource.com/fishing_lures/pinnacle-optimus-xlt-dhc-review.html
  4. roadwarrior replied to Lasher's topic in Fishing Tackle
Actually there are less and less. This was a fad started about a decade ago.

  7. I fish the MegaStrike StrikeBack and Siebert Outdoors Cosmic: http://www.megastrike.com/#!products/vstc2=strikeback-spinnerbait http://www.siebertoutdoors.com/Spinnerbaits_c9.htm
  8. That's why we have the forums broken down into general topics. The Tackle section and Rods, Reels, Line etc. are very popular and therefore very active. In the General forum there has been excellent threads on structure, depth and temperature. Off the top of my head, RoLo, WRB and Catt come to mind. For more indepth discussion, Glenn's videos are the cat's meow! For "various species" we have another dedicated forum. Regarding "how to catch them', it seems to me that the membership shares a lot of informantion, not just "general', but specific to their water. I would also like to point out how we try to expand the site. Electronics have come along ways since the days of the flasher. We introduced the "Electronics" forum to address this very important topic. Learning how to maximize the features of this technology has been a challenge for many and some of our guys have been VERY helpful.
  9. Pa-par? I think she is The Real Deal!

  12. Rage Tail Baby Craw and DB Craw.
  13. Fun FACTS: 1. Bass sometimes have a strong preference for bottom contact baits rather than moving baits and vice-versa! 2. Every color will work some times, but certain colors seem to work better. Your "best" color is probably the one you fish most often! 3. Fishing stucture and/or cover improves your odds. 4. Current or water flow can be the deciding factor on rivers. 5. Generally, line choices mean more to fishermen than fish.
  14. Well...Good morning! I'm sure someone will be disappointed that they did not get "the last word", but after 6 pages it seems everyone has had a shot. Let's move on. Goodnight Irene.
  15. Which size are you using?
  16. There's a guy on the Forum that catches a few "above average" bass who doesn't own a hard bait. I have had a couple of opportunities to fish with the guy and all he ever uses are Rage Tail soft plastics.
  17. Caught my PB on Beaver Lake fishing live shad on a balloon rig.
  18. Just as a general statement, shallow spools will hold less than 100 yards of standard diameter #12 (.13" diameter).
  19. Well, I think you have made your point...a couple of times. The other side of this conversation has also made their point and they (we) don't think anyone should be telling us how to spend our money! Most of the guys "wasting" big bucks are full grown men that have spent most of their adult lives working hard to get where they are.
  20. The forecast for Super Sunday is looking good. 39 for a high and no precipitation!
  21. Set your drag properly using a scale or free weights in a plastic grocery sack. You will probably be surprised that 2 1/2 - 3 lbs of drag is all you need. Once you know the feel of an actual setting, you can adjust your drag without a scale. At any rate, I would NEVER adjust my drag when fighting a fish...NEVER!
  22. Well, lets see if this helps: Generally, the taditional recommendation for treble hook lures is Medium or Medium Heavy Power/ Moderate Action. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/35514-rods-power-and-action-%C2%A0defined/
  23. The Perfecta is a great value at it's pricing point and that is the one I would recommend to start with. The rod is priced very close to your target.
  24. One of my best "The One That Got Away" involved a Zara Spook. I was facing west as the sun came up. When this smallmouth jumped it was bright gold reflecting the sun. As I remember the event, she looked to be about 12 lbs 1oz. I guess she thought we were playing catch and threw the Spook nearly all the way back to the boat.
