  1. Much of the talk in this particular section is about reels. Another source is Tackle Tour.
  2. If you are willing to shop around for a bargin, the Pinnacle Optimus XLT is an outstanding reel. I have recently acquired my second reel below your pricing point.
  3. Try trolling a Rage Tail Eeliminator, C-rigged. Another suggestion is to flip a different lure than what the boater is fishing. If he is flipping a jig, flip a soft plastic. The Lobster RagedRigged is a great alternative.
  4. Soft plastics, small swimbaits and jigs.
  5. Kansas City has some great games coming up. Chiefs vs Broncos 11/17. This should be fun to watch!
  6. Missouri is still in the hunt: Mizzou Tigers 31 Tennessee Volunteers 3.
  7. A slower reel isn't required, but if you plan to fish deep divers a lot, you will really appreciate something around 5.0:1
  8. Well, although I don't think it really matters, If I am not fishing fluorocarbon, I like the color to blend. For stained water, Yo-Zuri Hybrid Purple Smoke is the ticket. For gin clear water, Hybrid in green.
  9. Most recent: Rage Tail Cut-R Worm http://www.ragetail.com/news/08/the-cut-r-worm-new-2014/ MegaStrike Tube Craw http://www.megastrikefishingproducts.com/shop/mega-tube-soft-plastic/
  10. 7' MF covers a lot of ground. That would be my suggestion for an "all-around" rod, too. For enthusiasts, technique specific gear is fun to collect. However, three rigs cover all the basics: #1 6 1/2' or 7' MH baitcaster for jigs, some soft plastics and spinnerbaits #2 6 1/2' or 7' MM baitcaster for treble hook lures #3 7' MF spinning rod for lighter lures and a variety of techniques
  11. We all have our favorite "collectables", but for those simply adding to the arsenal, you don't really NEED 100 spinnerbaits. My overall preferences are 1/2 oz white only, white and chartreuse and chartreuse only skirts. With a white skirt, I generally fish silver double willow blades. For chartreuse only, I like a single Colorado blade. I fish both the MegaStrike Strikeback and the Siebert Outdoors Cosmic Spinnerbait.
  12. Jerkbaits, Rage Tail Baby Craw, MegaSgrike Tube Craw, NorthStar Original Swim Jig/ Rage Tail Menace and Sworming Hornet/ LFT Live Magic Shad.
  13. Welcome back! -Kent
  14. WOW! CONGRATULATIONS!
  15. Falcon with Big O would be #2 on my list. #1 would be with you on Lake Erie. #3 Stick Marsh/ Farm 13 with George Welcome
  16. For the original question: Lighter line will catch more fish in many situations.
  17. Smallmouth killer! I am a HUGE fan of the original, too.
  18. Here ya go: https://www.google.com/search?q=megastrike+fat+shad&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=vL9lUv3LEITW8gSa54AI&ved=0CEIQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=919
  19. Pretty cool! I was driving through Coumbia, MO last weekend and this was the hot topic on local sports radio. All the Missouri teams won in every sport: MU, Cardinals, Chiefs, Rams and Blues. That combination doesn't happen very often.
  20. A bump in The Road... The Broncos could have won that game if they scored more points and hadn't run out of time! Congratulation to the Colts.
