  1. I caught most of my bass on a Megabass PopMax and Norman Fat Boy (redear pattern).
  2. Moderator note: I think riskkid got the information he was looking for. The "meat" was left in the edited posts, the disparaging posts were removed. This thread is closed. -Kent
  3. GMAN (Siebert Outdoors) has built several custom jig designs for me. Check out his website for starters. If he or NorthStar don't have exactly what you are looking for I will be surprised. BTW, I'm working with GMAN on something new, The Roadwarrior, coming soon!
  4. Wow!
  5. Great advice! Don't leave your support group, you have a lot of guys on here that really care about YOU!
  6. G. Loomis MBR 842C/ Core 50MG is my favorite rig and perfect for the applications you are asking about. Mine is pretty much dedicated to small swimbaits (Hollow Belly, Shadalicious and keitech Swim Impact Fat), but I fish swim jigs with it, too.
  7. I think you should consider the Avid Series instead.
  8. Well, if you don't want to try Shimano, take a look at this Pinnacle: Optimus XLT http://www.pinnaclefishing.com/shop/p-78-optimus-xlt.aspx#page=page-1
  9. Outstanding!
  10. Another option to consider: For ~$125 you should be able to find a Curado 50E or 200E, NIB or "gently used".
  11. Here is another thread that will help: http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/12694-bass-jigs-what-ive-learned-this-year/
  12. No leader. 20 lb Sufix 832.
  13. Izorline and Sniper Super Ntural for treble hooks.
  14. No... Spinning tackle is much better for lighter presentation, specifically weightless soft plastics. Although I fish baitcasters for hard baits, the drag system on spinning tackle is a much better option for live bait and soft plastics. A big fish will always run when it sees the boat and the drag system on spinning gear really comes into play.
  15. Working for me...What's working for you?
  16. For their 50th anniversary the husband bought his wife a very expensive negligee. Being a typical man, he didn't remove the price tag. Wife thinks, "OMG, $500". Well, you know she's not going to be wearing that too long anyhow, so, let's return the nighty, keep the $500 and just come down the stairs naked... Wife comes struting down the stairs, anxious and proud. Dude says, "Man, for 500 bucks they could have ironed it". Viewing is Tuesday.
  17. #6 Yo-Zuri on spinning tackle...11.9 lb breaking strength, .010" diameter. I recommend "green" for gin clear water, "purple smoke" for stained water.
  18. I don't think we will have room, we've already booked the Victoria's Secret girls!
  19. These videos are sweeping the nation. We need a BassResource version.
