  1. I fish the Double Wide Beaver as a jig trailer. Specifically, GMAN 1/2 & 3/4 oz stand-up jigs. Black jig/ blue trailer. This is a big presentation and you won't catch a lot of bass, but the ones you do fool will be HUGE! 8-)
  2. Does not work here guys. The link has been deleted and this thread is closed. -Kent a.k.a. roadwarrior Global Moderator

  4. Thank you! How 'bout a replacement suggestion for the Mattlure's Bluegill. I don't fish beds. Matt sent me one which I "re-gifted" to Wayne (SPEEDBEAD). -Kent
  5. I don't care too much about price and don't have a true swimbait rig. So, I need your advice on both. I'm not sure this is for me, especially in this region. But...What's almost perfect that's reasonably priced? Let's say less than $1,000 all-in: Rod & reel plus three lures. 8-)
  6. I want to buy three that you recommend. Seriously. -Kent
  7. Our local fishing and hunting show is doing another repeat. How does that work in the middle of deer and duck season? For fishermen, this is Prime Time smallmouth and GIANT catfish season. In the Mid South, Stuttgart, AR is known as The Duck Capital Of The World. Pitiful. >
  8. Hmm... Guess you might not "take it from the old guys". Been there, done that: If you can see it, move away. If you can hear it, dive for cover! Dead may not as bad as crippled for the rest of your life. >

I fished this a total of around ten hours on several outings. Looks great, but I have never had a touch. Any comments? 8-)
  10. Most swimbaits are expensive. Does anyone have a "fishing" comment? I want to know if they're THE BOMB or just another good looking lure. I have the $20 Spro BBZ and it sucks! :
  11. All-around: 6 1/2' or 7' MHF Then it depends on what you want to spend. My main three rods are G. Loomis MBR844C, BCR854 and St. Croix Legend Elite EC70MHF. For lighter jigs, Dobyns Champion 683C. I use spinning tackle for hair jigs when fishing for smallmouth: St. Croix Legend Elite ES70MF. There are many choices. 8-)

  16. Yeah, too bad he was a bust in the NFL... I'm pretty sure there are a couple of receiving records he doesn't hold, but I could be wrong. ;D ;D
  17. Shimano reels should be fished without any super tuning. The Citica doesn't need any work, it's a great reel at the pricing point. If you want more, buy the Curado CU200E7. 8-)
  18. I don't fish Zoom Super Chunks, but one of my favorite trailers in the Double Wide Beaver. This is a HUGE presentation! 8-)
  19. Whether you agree or not, here's an interesting website: http://www.americasbestonline.net/cfootball100.htm 8-)
  20. As a brand, our very own Big O and Rage Tail Baits has introduced a number of innovative soft plastics. Visit their website for details and pay special attention to the Anaconda, Space Monkey, Thumper and Smokin' Rooster. http://www.ragetail.com/ ;D ;D ;D
  21. GMAN isn't going to hurt your pet fish, promise! 8-)
