  1. I try to fish once a week and sometimes twice a week for usually 5 to 9 hours. I am retired so all my fishing is done through the week. I don't have to fight the weekend crowd anymore. I don't get anywhere near the water on holidays.
  2. I am no expert on jig fishing. When I do fish a jig I have my best luck slowly dragging them along. You can also hop them and catch fish. Sometimes changing your jig trailer can make a difference. Hope this helps but I am sure others can help you a lot more.
  3. 1 Rebel pop-r 2 Jitterbug 3 LC Sammy
  4. I have been using the soft tackle worm bags from BPS and the have worked very well. They have them in different sizes.
  5. Glad everything is going okay for you. Don't even think of coming to Kentucky to go fishing. We have had so much rain a lot of the state is flooded and the boat ramps are under water.
  6. I think the pop-r is a good choice for top water. Also try a small spinnerbait, and texas rigged grubs, baby brush hogs, and trick worms.

  8. I like the colors of spot remover, mouse and blue herring shad. I like the screaming eagles better but I do have and use both sizes. I have not had much luck with gold frame spinnerbaits.
  9. I can get by with 5 setups. 1-6ft medium - crankbaits 1-6ft medium -spinnerbaits, topwater, swimbaits 1 66 medium heavy -soft plastics, jigs 1 6ft medium heavy spinning rod - senko, light weight texas rigs 1 6ft medium spinning rod -dropshot, shakey heads
  10. I like to fish Taylorsville Lake and the Kentucky River. The fishing in the river has not been very good the last few years due to so much rain and flooding. Once in a while I will fish Stoner Creek or Elkhorn creek. I have never fish Dale Hollow or Kentucky Lake. I have only fished Cumberland Lake a few times.
  11. I have been thinking about getting a couple of fish eagle rods. Both 6ft 6in rods One bait casting and one spinning rod. I have never tried them so I would like to know if anybody has tried them. I appreciate any info you can give me on these. Thanks in advance for the info.
  12. I have been checking out the forums for a while and decided to join in. I have been fishing for about 60 years. I do not fish tournaments and never have fished tournaments. I will try to help people if I can. I am retired so if I can't help I can think up a good lie to tell.
