What's the deal with bank fishing?
I stand back at the first couple of casts while bank fishing. Can't count the times I use to run up to the water when I was younger and I could see the fish swim off. Now I make a couple casts further back and move up if I don't get any bites.

Which e6x?
Casting. Sorry. Just took a look at those and they seem like they would be really good. Thanks for the heads up.

Which e6x?
Not to jack the thread but what would you recommend in that price range? Looking for a new rod. T-rigs and jigs mostly.

KVD Speedbags
I have one and it works well. Keeps my plastics all together and organized. Doesn't hold as much as they say they should but its not a bad bag.

Top 5 Producers?
I fish from shore as well. I throw plastics 97% of the time. My lake has thick vegetation so spinnerbaits and cranks dont work well from shore. T-rigged Pit Boss T-rigged lizard T-rigged worm jig Hollow body frog

Diawa vs lews
I'm a huge Daiwa guy. Just ordered a couple parts from Daiwa because my son dropped my Tatula CT and cracked the side plate and scuffed up the brake dial. Total cost was $18 including shipping, but they are both backordered and won't be here for 2-6 months. I'm in the market for a new reel as we speak and tried a couple different Lews reels. They just don't feel as nice as other reels especially for the price. The Custom (white model, forget the name exactly) felt rather cheap for a reel that sells for $180.

Seaguar Red Label vs InvisX
InvizX gets my vote. I swear by the stuff. No issues and is more manageable than Red Label, not saying RL is a pain but for the extra $$$ I would rather get InvizX.

$100 reel suggestions
My vote goes for the Daiwa Fuego LT. Daiwa spinning reels seem so smooth even the $60 Regal LT feels amazing.

SHIMANO Curado K vs Daiwa Tatula 150
I would go with what feels comfortable in hand. I own a Tatula CT and a Curado K. Both of those reels feel good in hand, but fished with my buddies Lews Custom and it was like night and day. Smaller and more comfortable than those listed above. If you can go to a store and put them on a rod and see what feels better.

Curado k vs daiwa tatula 150
You can always try a Tatula CT. I don't have any off the issues on the CT that I had on the new 150.

Zoom Brush Hogs Or Baby Brush Hogs?
I fished with a brush hog today and think I would like the baby brush hogs better. The full size one seems a little too large, was looking for something similar to a lizard in profile for pitching and flipping.

Curado k vs daiwa tatula 150
I went through this same issue a few months back. I ended up getting a Curado K, but before purchasing I was using a Tat CT. The Curado feels a lot more refined and smooth compared to the Tatula. There was also less play in the handle, which might have just been the particular model I had. I actually don't see any difference in performance between the Tatula 150 and the Tatula CT (basically same reel with a matte black paint job and the white spider). If you want to save some money you could pick up the CT on ebay for less than $100 at the moment. I'm very impressed with the Curado and will be adding more later on this year.

Fine tuning a baitcaster
I was taught to adjust the spool tension knob based off lure weight. Let it fall at a good rate, not too fast and not too slow. Then adjust brakes accordingly. So is there a new school of thought where I should just loosen the spool tension until the spool has side to side play then cast?

How do you all set your brakes for a Metanium 13 and New Curado K?
^ This right here will clear up most of your setup problems. I worked on doing this by getting those practice plugs in different weights and casting them in the back yard. I would switch weights and leave then settings long then see how the reel reacted with those settings. Just be aware you will get some birdsnests. This also helped me smooth out my cast instead of trying to "whip it" for more distance.

Trailers falling off while skipping
I noticed that certain trailers don't mix well with certain jigs. The Aaron Martens jigs from Picasso don't work well with Zman Turbo Craws. For some reason the holder along with the way the plastics stretch cause the bait to slide of the jig. To the point that I need to readjust almost every cast. I'm in the process now of switching up jigs and trailers to find a combo that works well. You might also want to try some of the gel super glue to get it to stay in place. I have heard of people doing this when fishing the ned rig.

P Line issues
Floroclear has given me nothing but problems. Broke off quite a few times. Switched to a San deigo jam knot and it still didn't help. Ended up switching to Yo-Zuri Hybrid and haven't looked back.
-
What copolymer line do you use?
Yo Zuri Hybrid. Gave it a try after all the recommendations for it and now that's all that I use.I still haven't added L&L to the spool, even without it, there are no issues casting or with line memory. PLine Floroclear is what I was using before but had a bunch of issues with the line breaking.

Jigs with Trailers vs Jigs without Trailers
Not to jack that thread, but what trailers do you guys prefer for your jigs?

Looking for quality 3700 size utility boxes.
I ended up picking up the plano pro latch 3700s. They are like night and day compared to the original. Thanks a lot guys. Was going to get some of the Bass Mafia stuff but felt it was a little overpriced for what it was.

Looking for quality 3700 size utility boxes.
I will have to take a look at the Rustrictor ones also.

Looking for quality 3700 size utility boxes.
No, I actually keep those out of the containers. The only thing I store in the boxes are hard baits or terminal tackle. Thanks a lot. I will have to look into those. I have the clear latches on mine. Thanks very much. I wasn't couldn't tell from the pictures if they were any different. The LFS doesn't stock any of the boxes so I'm going to have to order online.

Looking for quality 3700 size utility boxes.
As the title states. I'm looking for some better quality utility boxes than what came with my tackle bag. Currently have the stock Plano 3700 boxes and they seem to be warping on the ends. I took a look at the Bass Mafia ones but they seem really cheap and not worth the price. What boxes do you guys use? Sorry if this is in the wrong forum.
