  1. I figured but was hoping otherwise.
  2. Caught my first two jig fish this year. I would throw it every once in a while and never had luck. Been fishing plastics lately but now I'm think I should go back and see what happens. What do you guys normally throw for trailers?
  3. Does anyone know if these are the knobs like on the CT? I have the TAT 100 and I hate the new knobs.
  4. This is what I use. It comes with two 3700 boxes and I purchased a deep box that holds all my plastics. Had for about 3 years now and still looks brand new.
  5. T-rigged Berkley Pit Boss. You can flip it, swim it, or pop it. Purchased this bait on a whim two years ago and it has caught me a majority of my fish. I use to throw a Zoom lizard but that has taken a backseat to this lure.
  6. This is the first year I have caught a fish on a jig. Caught 2 early spring but haven't thrown it much since. I would really like to start catching more fish using this lure but the confidence just isn't there.
  7. I'm looking at that exact pair. Did you get the plastic or glass lenses?
  8. Thanks for the link.
  9. Where can you find deals like that?
  10. The new 100s are set that way from the factory. "Drive Gear"
  11. Picked up a Daiwa Tatula 100, 3 Booyah pad crashers, 12lb sniper FC, and 65lb 832 braid.
  12. Looks like I'm going to contact my eye doctor tomorrow about these.
  13. I just picked one of these up two days ago. The main gear was bone dry. Added a little grease and it is smooth and quiet. The only noise I notice is chatter while walking a frog. Kind of sounds like its side to side movement from the spool. Which is easily fixed, noise hasn't bothered me enough to fix it. Overall, I'm stoked about this reel.
  14. The more and more I look at the pictures the more it reminds me of yo-yo string.
  15. When I caught my PB, I actually thought it was a snag. Like it legit felt like a tree log or something and my line didn't move for a good 30 seconds. Then when it finally did I knew it was the biggest fish I had ever hooked up with. If I remember correctly it went straight into cover.
  16. I was excited when these came out then read a bunch of reviews on them from different sources. I still don't own one based on the reviews. The overall gist was that its not worth the extra money over the Curado K.
  17. I just discovered them from a post on here. I will be ordering from them in the near future. Congrats on the new purchase and hope you enjoy it.
  18. I have a 7'3" rod that I flip and pitch with from shore. I learned to go at more of an angle, like have the rod between my knee and waist. Doing this gives me no issues. On a side note, you might be able to just cut the but end of the rod off instead of purchasing a new rod. Might be able to post in the rod making section and ask. From what I remember you can take of 6" without it affecting the action of the rod.
  19. Yeah it looks more white than gray.
  20. Just looked. I would just hop on that deal. I thought we were talking MSRP. Sorry about that.
  21. Me either. I handled some of the elites in store but haven't fished em. With that said, they are really nice rods. I would spend the extra $30 over the Tatula and get the elite. I would maybe go with the H rod also. I usually throw a 1/4 oz jig with a trailer and it close to 3/4 oz total weight. I run the MH with that setup without issues but any heavier and I would most likely go up a rod power.
  22. Are we talking regular elite or elite with AGS guides?
  23. Never had an issue with Power Pro or 832. The only Seaguar I use is InvizX and love the stuff.
  24. I a huge fan of the winn grips but don't a rod with them yet. I would honestly get the SLX combo. From what I have heard they are really nice for the $$$.
