  1. Only fished senkos a couple of times. Caught one fish on em. I must be doing something wrong.
  2. Curado K. Mainly because its my first nice reel.
  3. I stay with a 6 speed like LionHeart said. On frog bites I tend to start reeling too quick before the fish actually has the lure in its mouth. The 6 speed helps to make sure that he actually has the lure before I take the slack out of the line and set the hook.
  4. I'm currently running 12 lb on my jig and texas rig setup. Will probably go to 15 when I re-spool here in the next week. For general all around use I prefer mono. Cheaper and seems to be more versatile when going from different types of baits designed for different techniques. You can go top water to jig using all the same line.
  5. I currently fish a Tatula CT but just picked a Lews Speedspool LFS ($99) reel and I'm really happy with it. If it holds up as well as the Tatula I will be throwing more of these in my arsenal for sure. I seem to cast a little further with the Lews than the Tatula. The build quality seems about the same on both. Overall, you can't go wrong with either one of those. As for the Abu, I bought an SX when Gander Mountain was going out of business. I had them throw line on it and I went straight to the lake. After about 2 hours of fishing I took it home and put it on ebay. The reel just felt like complete junk and I thought it was a waste of money.
  6. Has anyone heard anything about this reel? I just got on Daiwa's website and it was listed as "new" but I can't seem to find it at any online stores. It actually looks really sick.
