  1. .33 is exactly 1/3oz
  2. Ask and ye shall receive.
  3. This. Remember that the pros are sponsored by various companies, and there's usually a rod-maker in there. If they break a rod while making money, the sponsor will replace it...maybe at a discount to the pro. Watch Glenn's videos...he usually grabs the line to bring the fish in, not lift it out with the rod. Myself, unless it's a real dink (under 12"), I'll use a net...I don't have the money to replace rods willy-nilly.
  4. ^ What Scott said.
  5. I'm T-Rig deficient...hope to correct that this year.
  6. So how many meters of snow you think that lake-effect is gonna dump on you?
  7. Slightly different...one has parallel grooves in the back, another has bumps and the third something else. Minor changes in the details gets around the copywrite...they're not identical in all aspects.
  8. No - it'd be 8am for you, Glenn...4pm for JohninLisbon. You'd still get to watch the Stuperbowl.
  9. We're currently at -12 wind chill...tomorrow's high is expected to be 0 with wind chills in the -18 to -25 range.
  10. Icicles start forming on your mustache from your breath.
  11. When you experience day-time highs that don't even reach zero, with wind chills in the teens and twenties below zero....then come talk. ?
  12. With Nora in physical rehab for probably another 2 weeks....'what's a schedule?'
  13. Sunday - 11am eastern. Makes it 8am for Glenn and 4pm for John...that'd work.
  14. Looked it over - based on the stats, the reel looks to be a 'jazzed up' Black Max and the rod somewhere between a Vengence and Vendetta. I'd look elsewhere - this is just a marketing thing..."Oh look, a MLF labeled combo...neat." Meh.
  15. I find the people here to be much more 'honest' in their reviews. They're also much more detailed with the whys and wherefores. I've actually switched some of the lines I use based on detailed comments made here.
  16. What's the power on that Triumph...if it's a Medium or Medium-heavy - you're golden.
  17. Late risers get the extra...us early risers lose it off the morning...so no difference in total.
  18. Then there's the issue of soft wall tent style, or hard-wall garden shack style. If the latter...where do you store it during soft-water season?
  19. More so than even those add-ons. Printed weight is only for the head. Now add the wire, blades, hook and skirt - a "3/8oz" spinner is around 1/2oz before trailer/trailer hook.
  20. Come on Kent...it's an adventure. ?
  21. Ice out may be delayed - this is our wind-chill forecast for the next week.
  22. I haven't had an issue with PP - and I even ran 20# on my President one year...just have to be careful. Still run PP on my flip/pitch/frog rig - the 4-carrier braid seems to cut through the weeds better than an 8-carrier like Sufix 832.
  23. Did you put backing on the reel before spooling up the braid? All my braid-rigs, I only put 60-70 yds on. Under that is mono backing...10# Big Game for the BCs, 6# Sufix Elite on the spinners. Helps prevent dig-in and saves money if you replace the line frequently as the mono is way cheaper than the braid and you don't replace the backing all that often.
  24. I got copies of 3.0 and 5.0 around here somewhere Lotus as well Now I just need an old computer that'd run them...
