  1. Kaspersky is the only one I've used in at least a decade.
  2. I just transfer photos to my PC and resize it there. There are apps you can download to your phone/tablet to resize photos though, heck if I know what they are...never needed them.
  3. Just make sure it's at least 50# braid you're using - I don't think anything less would hold.
  4. Maybe lighten the weight and run them above the bottom. They should come through grass easy enough. Or even go weightless and run them over the top instead of through.
  5. What lures are you using?
  6. Are you side-arm casting or over-head casting? Does make a difference in some cases.
  7. Probably - but as long as I'm sticking to pure 'crappie lures', the DNR can't cite me for 'targeting bass'...and yes, they're out patrolling and sticklers for the rules.
  8. That's what my Fury 705CB is - so far I've had no complaints about it.
  9. You can just pack it up and ship it to me - I'll find a use for it.
  10. The one's I have are 'home-brew' - got the parts and put them together myself. They work pretty good, though I am making a change to them this winter.
  11. Pretty much anything 6# test and over, with the drag set to 1/3 the test-strength to start...you can tighten it during the fight if needed, but not too much. Use the line appropriate to the lure...I wouldn't toss a 3/8oz spinnerbait on 8# mono, just like I wouldn't rig a shakey to 30# braid.
  12. Crappie lures. Average ice-out around here is mid-April. Bass season doesn't open until Mother's Day weekend. So it's a few weeks of no bass fishing after I can get the canoe on the water.
  13. Pretty much if it ain't named, it's a walk in for canoe/kayak. Even some of the named lakes around here (Langdon in my town for one) don't have ramps.
  14. Just as far as the cities really - in close proximity to me, there's dozens of lakes (no, that's not counting the named lakes that are part of the Minnetonka chain), four rivers (Mississippi, Minnesota St. Croix, and Crow), and a number of canoe/kayak worthy streams. Now, my time is limited, so I don't get to many of them, but they're in the area. Item of note: State record largemouth came out of one of those close lakes.
  15. It's navigable to Lake Irving in Bemidji - long as you discount dams and such. When I lived up there, we had an old plywood hull day-cruiser that we'd take on the river from Lake Irving down to the dam at the SE end of Stump Lake. Put in at spots between dams, and you shouldn't have a problem.
  16. His presence will be missed. Someday, meet you at that perfect lake...where-ever.
  17. Replacing a guide isn't as hard as some would make it out to be - and is infinitely preferable to trying a 'jury-rig' solution.
  18. Go for it - I only know a few names myself...but I'm giving it the old college try.
  19. Outriggers are the bomb - I can stand to cast in my canoe with them.
  20. I don't have quite as much as AJ does, so there's less boxes. Try to keep general types together. Example - far left is this is 'Crankbaits - DT & Squarebill' Each box, I use the compartments and label them - for example the upper-left of my jig box. I've got two 3700 size bags that fit under the center seat of my canoe for the lures boxes. My plastics are kept in the original bags and grouped in 3607-10 boxes Two Advanced Angler bags (one BPS, one Cabelas) hold the plastics boxes and fit under the rear seat of the canoe.
  21. Sorry, my brain went into the sewer again - happens occasionally.
  22. Great vid and Gary is right on the money with this. I'm afraid to ask.
  23. I got a MH/F spinning rig for use this next year. I'm pants at skipping with BCs but I can skip with spinning fairly easily...so I got this rig to skip jigs, T-Rigs, spinners, chatters, etc.
  24. 30# - I could use that as line for my canoe anchor 6# - Neds and Drop-shot to shakey and weightless plastics
