Lunker frog problems
I caught a blue gill on one a couple weeks ago so ya... everything picks on frogs.

Lunker frog problems
I have found that frogs can be pretty tuff to get to the boat. This is my 2nd year using them. My first year i probably only caught 15% of them and this year somewhere around 80%. I was using 17lb mono with a MHF rod and i believe i wasnt hook setting correctly. This year i bought a better frog setup. I have 50lb braid and a 7ft 3in heavy rod and i added a lake fork trailer hook to my frogs if i could. I worked on my hook set by when i saw them hit it i would lower my rod to around 4 o'clock, reel in all my slack to where i could barely feel the bass on the line, then swing for the fences. Im not sure if its the setup or my hook set or both but im doing much better. During the first year i was almost ready to give up with them but i didnt because there are so many people that do well frogging. Watch some videos and keep working with em, you will get better. Also i have caught some pretty small ones with a frog. I literally made one skip 8 feet during a hookset and ripped a good size hole in his mouth.

How To Tell If My Local Pond Is Safe To Eat Fish From?
I know this is an old post that has been resurrected but check out this link. https://watersgeo.epa.gov/mywaterway/ It allows you to see a lot of samples waters and see what reason it is/was impaired. Hope this may help future people down the road.

Micro/nano guides
Looking at a rod that has standard, micro, and nano. What if any are the benefits to non standard guides? Any drawbacks?

Multiple rod setups
I was thinking 20 lb Hi vis braid for the spinning rod, 30lb braid of I dont know what color for the MH and 40 or 50lb braid of I dont know what color for the heavy. Any opinions for colors or test for each of these? I probably wont be using a leader because the water I fish is a bit dirty, yay Indiana.

Multiple rod setups
I currently own an abu garcia revo sx 6.6 ratio and a h20 ethos hd 6'6 med heavy rod. I also just bought an open face h20 combo that's 6'6 medium. I'm looking to pick up another abu in 7.3 and a 7'3 heavy h20 ethos hd. I'm probably going to use braid with all 3 unless it would be a big mistake. The heavy rod with a 7.3 ratio is mostly going to be used for frogs. Would this setup be good for more? The medium 6'6 open face is going to probably be used mostly for soft plastics. The med heavy rod with the 6.6 is going to be the workhorse for everything else except the plastics and frogs. Am I off base with the type of uses or is that good? What color and test braid should I use for each of these? I'm trying to get the most out of these combos because I dont really have the resources to do much more.

Length difference in kayaks
I own a pescador pro 120 and I honestly think there are better options out there. I would look at a pelican catch 100 or 120. If I could do it again I would do a 10 foot and probably a pelican.

Which style frog hook?
It's just about increasing the hookups... no one likes a nice blowup and no reward.

Which style frog hook?
I previously bought the lake fork frog hooks and have had success but I found a different style on amazon. I have a few hundred dollars in e-gift cards from them. One looks to be the same as a lake fork and the other is https://www.amazon.com/Basstrike-Dota-Trailer-Double-Fishing/dp/B07G27WT8L/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1548292048&sr=8-2π=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=frog+trailer+hook&dpPl=1&dpID=31IuK9sKTtL&ref=plSrch Anyone think this hook would be just as good or better than the lake fork or would 4 points just be too much to get s good hookset?

What size lake fork frog hook
I used them last time I was out and i found them to still be very weedless. I was able to retrieve over some very thick grass without any problems. Not sure how it will go through pads and it may not come off of the bank as well for people that like to hop them off the ground into the water.

The Tackle Debate
I do love it when you read all these reviews on how awesome something is only to see that its absolute garbage. I would be naive to think that some of not most of these reviews have some self interest in the product. The live target sunfish comes to mind. The best use I have found from one of those is cutting the weight off to replace a frog hook that I lost a barb on.

The Tackle Debate
I wouldn't say he is necessarily spoiled because I would put money on it that this kid read a lot of reviews on it before he made a statement. I have a hard time with this myself. I like to research almost everything before I buy it and as far as equipment goes, you normally get what you pay for. A lot of times people dont really know what they will be happy with when starting something new. I know nothing about hunting bows but I know I wouldn't want a bottom price point one or a top shelf one either.

(Un)official Hoosiers Thread
Bluegrass, more specifically loon pit. Not sure what you are asking about referencing. Just saying it would be hard to fish it from the bank because it's only clear for a small section.
