Methylate Question
Didnt want to start a new thread, so I'm resurrecting this one ? Does anyone have any pictures of a methylate dipped white senko? My local river bass love merthiolate color and I was trying to make some with JJ's and white GY senkos. If it just turns pink I'll order bubblegum senkos..

Fantasy Fishing 2020 - Official Thread
I think Kissimmee showed what we can expect. Some guys will target early bedding bass, some will junk fish! Kissimmee was Jerkbaits to propbaits and Rattletraps to senkos. Lure selections were all over the board

Personally, Zoom U-vibe speed worm on 3/16 T-rig, Junebug Weightless fluke for topwater and grass, watermelon. Senko in black and blue or green your choice. Stick with those baits and you'll catch fish. Bass should be on the bank in grass pretty solid by March. Definitely post spawn. As the Water temps warm, Fla bass bury up in vegetation. If your pond hopping you should have no trouble.

Dick's Sporting Goods what are they thinking
I'm one of those supporters that refuse to step foot in another DSG. When they destroyed those AR's as political move that was the straw. Hope they bankrupt. Good riddance

How far do you go?
I'm jealous of peoples responses already. I dont have a Lake "close" by. Most all the big lakes are at minimum 1.5hr to 2hr drive away. What I do have are 2 rivers that are Local to me, one is the Satilla and the other is the Altamaha. One is black (tannic) and the other is muddy constantly. They both offer superb fishing if you like river fishing. I'm 10 mins from the satilla, 40 from the Altamaha. Just seeing peoples posts on here, definitely jealous of some folks local fisheries! Other than that I fish alot of ponds!

Budget Pitching/Flipping Rod
I use a 7'3 Duckett Ghost Heavy, retails $100 at academy. It's got my vote I normally pitch 1/2oz punch rig in my river, punched mats with 1.5oz rig, and thrown up decent size swimbaits. It has handled it all well. Very versatile

Opinions: The Most UNDER / OVER rated Rods & Reels
I dont frequent the spinning reel discussions since I have virtually nil experience using them. So the opinions are best left to the experienced ? I do enjoy fishing them though and trying to keep one in my hand more often. ?

Switch Baits or Change Area-how to determine which is the problem
Gee, fishing high pressures lakes in multiple locations on a certain day regardless of weather conditions or seasons, all with their careers at stake, with thousands of fans watching. Yeah I wouldn't take their advice either, good call ??

Switch Baits or Change Area-how to determine which is the problem
Age old question, and a good one at that. Because no matter what stage your at in your bass fishing career, it's a question that you continue to ask yourself. Best answer, keep it simple. We tend to overthink things!! Check out this interview @Glenn did with the Pros!

Trebles attached without split rings
In general #6 should suit you fine, not sure about those rebel baits in particular, but on lures that do not have split rings I do add them. Though it is a pain, once and done Ex: I throw Smithwick Devilhorses in spring, out of the box they come with subpar hooks and no split ring. Without the split rings it's so hard to keep a fish pinned because they can shake the hooks out so easily. Adding the split rings allows the bait to move around more while fighting the fish, thus keeping fish pinned. I'm sure somebody can explain that better. But cut the hook, or unscrew the latch if it's a wood bait, and add the split ring. You'll thank yourself later.

Opinions: The Most UNDER / OVER rated Rods & Reels
I have a Pflueger President, great reel. Didnt know anybody else knew about it ? I figured since it wasnt a revered Shimano or Diawa it wasnt worth mentioning on this site. ?

Any Crankbait Lovers Still Out There?
Who leaves home without a square bill, like seriously? I beat the bill off mine. Every stump, root, and tree I find. Here in my local rivers I love throwing a square bill. Absolute confidence bait, red craw shallow running sqaurebill. Growing up bass fishing, my earliest memories in central Fla, is my Dad tying me on a crankbait. "Throw it out there and reel son" Fire tiger was the usual color then. The good ole days.

If you could only have one lure
For me down in South Ga, either weightless super fluke or 5" senko. Either or and I'm happy.
