Best 4 Season locations for freshwater fishing?
We don't like to brag in Tennessee but since you asked. Our largemouth record is only 14.8 but our walleye, smallmouth, and crappie records are world records. Pike and muskie can be caught in east Tennessee but I'm not sure how it compares to up north. It does get cold here though. I've seen small ponds ice over for several days ?.

Diawa vs lews
Correct me if I'm wrong. Diawa makes great reels. Lew's sells great reels made in China by someone else.

NIGHT FISHING
Many many years ago, my club would have an annual night tournament that ran from 7:00PM Friday night to 7:00AM Saturday morning. Work all day, fish all night, followed by a one hour drive home.... For young men only.

Accurate scale under $100?
I have a Brecknell Scale. It’s a very accurate impressive scale but it very clear that it was not designed for fishing. It is not “heavy duty” and there are many reviews on Amazon from fishermen that share how splashes of water ruined there’s. For these reasons, I keep mine stowed in it’s case. It takes too long to retrieve it, power it up, zero it out, and then weight the fish so it only gets used as a second opinion on large fish. My favorite remains my Chatillon & Sons IN-12. Accurate, essentially un breakable, no batteries, will still be working 100 years after I’m gone. https://www.chatillon-scales.com/products/handheld-scales/in-series-fish-and-game-linear-handheld-scales

minn kota ultrex problem
If you disconnect it from the batteries, charge the batteries, then reconnect it and deploy it out of water, does the remote show it as deployed?
-
minn kota ultrex problem
Have you had the same problem with two foot pedals or two entirely different motors? The message on your remote is what’s displayed when the motor is not deployed. I would not expect the motor to turn if it’s sensors say it’s not deployed. That’s the problem. What’s causing the problem is a little harder to determine.

Why lighter line ALWAYS wins ?
ALWAYS is a word that should be used carefully in fishing. I don’t think you can make a rule about fishing line that applies to all anglers in all situations on all lakes.

Setting up my boat electronics
It depends on how you fish. I think having two units at the console, one for sonar and one for mapping is probably the most beneficial use of an extra unit.

Setting up my boat electronics
Welcome to the forum! I have never fished out of a pontoon boat so I don't know that I can offer any suggestions on that aspect. I personally would spend the money to network everything. A network switch will cost you around $220 and all the cables needed will cost another $200 - $250 depending on if you network all the units and how long the cables are. With a network switch, you will connect the i-pilot link cable to the network switch and you will be able to control it from every fishfinder on the network. I have Humminbird Solix units so I'm not sure exactly what all you can share with networked Helix. You can certainly share waypoints and I would expect that you would be able to view sonar data from any unit on any other unit that is capable of displaying it. I don't think you can view side imaging on the one Helix 10 you listed that does not do SI but you could with the others. I would consider installing RAM mounts with power and networking at each corner of the boat where someone might be fishing, and at the console. Then you can move them around until you find our what works best for you. The network switch has five connections so you can network the trolling motor and the three network ready units and still have one unused port. I would run two network cables to the console and buy an extra power cable so you can run two units at the console when you want. I would use the one Helix 10 that does not have SI on the trolling motor because the TM transducer will not do SI. Once you start using Lakemaster maps you will probably have no use for the Navionic chip. ? Good Luck. You will have a very well equipped pontoon boat when you're done.

Spoonplugging - Right or Wrong?
I was reading something recently that had been heavily redacted (I won’t mention what it was as that’s not relevant to this discussion ?). That got me thinking that if someone went through Buck’s book and redacted everything that has been proven wrong through scientific study and everything that is no longer relevant due to advances in technology, not much would be left. About the only parts that would remain are the parts that tell you how to locate fish. If you’re interested in locating fish, then I highly recommend the book. Otherwise don’t waste your time.

Power plant spawn
Welcome to the forum! I assume that you are asking how the hot water discharge on power plant lakes affects bass spawning times. I don't have any experience fishing small cooling ponds. I do fish one lake where hot water discharge makes a noticeable difference in the water temperature near the plant. I assume they still spawn when the temperature is between 55 and 65 degrees in the spring. How the water gets to that temperature shouldn't matter I wouldn't think. Hopefully, someone with more experience on this type of lake will chime in.

Need help in jig making?
I agree with what's others have said about entering what is already a saturated market. However, if I understand your post, you already have a business on Lake Okeechobee. If you've already got fishermen visiting your business and you've got the space to show your locally made hand crafted lures, I see no reason you can't sell a few.

NEED FISHING HELP! D:
Not a situation I've ever been in. I'm almost never in water that clear. My experience with roaming bass is that some of them will at least check out a lure even if they don't hit it. Very odd.

what are your go to patterns on some of your home lakes?
On the large reservoirs on the Tennessee River, the current is determined by the power generation schedules at the dams. The exception of course is when the gates are opened to control flooding. For fishermen, current = good fishing.

Scale to weigh fish
There are a lot of inexpensive digital scales on the market that give the illusion of accuracy because they provide precise and repeatable readings. If you don't care that the scale says 4.34 lbs when the fish actually weighted 4 lbs 7 oz then you will be happy with these scales. If you want some degree of accuracy then you will probably need to spend more than your budget. I have the Brecknell Electro Samson Scale. This is the same scale used by Major League Fishing. It is very accurate but is not water proof and there are many complaints online about how fragile they are. I carry this scale but I keep it stored and in it's case to protect it. I only pull it out when I want a second opinion on a big fish. The scale I use regularly is Chatillion IN Series Linear Fish & Game scale. These are expensive but they are very accurate and require no batteries. They can take a beating during a lifetime of fishing and then can be passed on to your grandchildren. They are made of brass and are practically indestructible. They are worth the $70 cost in my opinion.

It's interesting to me the different ways people answer a question about patterns. Maybe we need to first agree on what a pattern is? https://www.bassmaster.com/tips/what-pattern-fishing
