Weedless bass lures aren't
I started with a Lifetime Tamarack angler 100 for $164. Only 40 lbs. You can lay in on top of pool noodles on the roof of your Corolla and strap is down thru the windows. I've been fishing over 50 yrs and Kayak fishing has changed my fishing experience. Warning it's additive, I ended up buying a Hobie, selling my bass boat and fishing more than ever.

Rage tail baits
I have used the Big O's Eeliminator which is similar to the Rage Shad and had good results. I'm fishing a lake so thick with millfoil that I need to keep the bait on top or even the knot gets gunked.Topwater flukes like the Zman have been the best producer. How are you fishing the Cut R?

Rage tail baits
What is your favorite rage tail bait for millfoil? Today I did well with flukes and decided to try the rage tail cut R. The Cut R got some interest but no hookups. I like the tail on the Rage Recon Worm and Rage Shad. I'm considering picking up a pack of the Recon Worm and wondered if anybody has have any experience with this?

Wading boots for slippery mossy rocks
Felt is illegal here in Ohio and I believe in MD because they have a tendency to trap Zebra mussel eggs.

Need help with my soft jerkbait technique
I have the Dobyns 663c so I give that a try. I'm 5'6" so a long rod is great on my boat but is awkward when Im fishing from my Yak.

Need help with my soft jerkbait technique
After getting no strikes with my senko worm, spinnerbait, crankbait and jig I tied on a 5-inch z-man jerk shad z. I rigged it weightless with a 3/0 gamakatsu EWG worm hook with the hook slightly buried in the belly. On the third cast I got to blow up, felt the weight of the fish, set the hook but did not get a hookup. I then rig the tip of the hook loose in the belly of the bait with the same result. I then push the hook through the top of the bait and tex skimmed the tip... Same result. Lastly I kept it hooked thru the top of the bait but released the tip .. Again same result. 15 lb braid with 20 lb fluoro leader on a Dobyns FR 705 CB. What am I doing wrong?

Bay boat for bass?
Fish n Ski boats are another option for family friendly fishing boats. They usually come with front and rear fishing seats and a trolling motor.

Where are the Ohio Fisherman?
Hey guys post up who you are and where you are located in Ohio. I feel we should try to make a push for bassresource to add a Midwest fishing forum so that we aren't lumped together with all the states in the Northeast. Let's hear your thoughts.

ElaZtech Storage
This was my concern. I've had other hooks rust if the plastics were left on and I'm wondering if it's the fault of the plastic or they weren't dry enough when I stored them
-
ElaZtech Storage
Can ElaZtech be stored on a jig head in the original bag they came in? If so, can they be stored with the other Elaztechs in the bag?

Reel Maintenance Tools.....??
I'm disassembling and cleaning every other year. You real don't need an expensive screw driver set. An Ultra Sonic is a plus. I have an old one from my dental practice that works great but if you buy one an expensive one is not needed unless you're using it frequently. Disassembling and cleaning reels is a fun winter project plus you will learn more about how these reels work and provides the opportunity to identify parts that are needing replacement before they fail.

If you could only have one baitcasting rod...
This. You can jig and cast cranks with this rod. I would recommend putting more money in the rod then on the reel. Salt Strong agrees.

Braid to mono knot
FG when I tie at home and uni to uni when I'm on the water. Recently I had a Florida Kayak fishing guide, Neil Taylor, that introduced me to his knot which is referred to as the Neil knot. Very small and easy. Just You Tube the Neil Knot for a 2 minute video. I figured if he pulls in sharks with that knot it's strong enough for me.
