Prime rib...
Depends on how you like it. Coat in olive oil (or butter) with kosher salt, black pepper, white pepper, fresh rosemary, horseradish. Make sure it’s 100% room temperature before you start. Bake 20 mins a pound. It will get a better crust in a convection oven than regular (placed centered in front of the fan, rotated halfway through cooking). It’s all about how it’s coated when you place it in the oven, has to be even and uniform. The gravy I make can’t be explained here. And depends on what’s available when I go to the store. I add things like pistachios, almonds, pomegranate, raspberry’s, blackberries, etc., which complicates everything. But this video gives a good start to what to do with the gravy. https://tasty.co/recipe/prime-rib-with-garlic-herb-butter You can also cook it like the video. It works. And it comes out good. But I prefer it cooked normally. The regular cook method, IMO, tastes more beefy, is redder inside and less chewy. It’s only a slight difference. And if you use butter, it’s fine, since the USDA now says you can consume an unlimited amount of cholesterol per day without any negative health effects.

Senko vs. Yum Dinger
I do not feel every small fish in the area attacking a yum dinger like Piranhas when it just sits on the bottom like I do with a senko.

Portable Electronics for Ponds
I know. Therein lies the problem. But there are probably bottom features out there to be discovered.

Straight braid for senkos
Looks like the braid was slower to me. @MN Fisher I agree that there are air spaces in braid and the hold either air or water. If they have air they’ll be buoyant. Once they fill up with water and the farther you cast, the more the skin of the water you throw it into holds the line up. I was literally watching that happen the past few hours I was out fishing. The line was just hanging on the surface.

Yes, that is what I need depth and contour.

Pressure Washers
If you only use it once or twice per year, I don’t think that qualifies as “pressure”

Jerkbaits. No one fishes them where I am. I think it’s a regional thing, but also because most water isn’t deep enough for them.- Megabass vs anything
Interesting. Because I don’t think MB makes these in pink. And I don’t think they make any with red on them. I also think most people would never recommend throwing a pink jerkbait. Nice fish!- It’s so strange, I had success at the end of March at my usual spot, a hole/current break that I fish all summer, but then the bite went dead
Where is the mark as solution button.- Barrel Swivels
I am not a fan of them, but I do use the for some C rigs.- Portable Electronics for Ponds

Im thinking it’s going to be boosters for everyone. After seeing the news reports about it, I noticed there are two extra lines on the vaccination cards that can be used for two boosters.- Megabass vs anything
Love the title of this thread.- Suggestions for Targeting a Large Bass in a Heavily Pressured Park Pond
Maybe, but I don’t seen anyone saying that the proper way to catch a largemouth bass is to get a large spinnerbait with a rusted dull hook on it using a heavy rod, rated to no less than 4 ounces, with a spinning reel spooled with 300 yards of 30lb mono. And just stand there and cast straight out towards the middle of the lake repeatedly.- Suggestions for Targeting a Large Bass in a Heavily Pressured Park Pond
while this is becoming an argument. I have to agree. Especially at my favorite place to fish. Yes, the people do alter the fish behavior just by being around. Especially because this is crystal clear water. There are very few competent anglers. There might be a lot around here on BR, but because the fishery where I am is so extremely limited, there are minimal fishermen of any competency. In other places where there is real water and there is an actual fishery, there are more competent anglers. That IMO is different than where I am. Fish will learn the lures from getting caught. But when they are not getting caught, it’s something else.- To Blend In or to Stand Out?
There aren’t any shad where I am either. There’s basically nothing. Only bluegills, craws and insects. So there’s hardly anything to match.- Suggestions for Targeting a Large Bass in a Heavily Pressured Park Pond
The BG work at about the size of a crank bait. I don’t use them. But they work. Craws work, too. Hook them through the tail. I know people say that, but where I fish these places take “pressure” to the extreme. I do t believe the amount of people fishing matters. If you ask me, people fishing all day, but not catching anything dont count as “pressure.” I don’t consider a crowded public place “pressured” until people actually catch fish. The only effect of people fishing that I believe happens is that if they remove the dumbest fish, it gets harder to catch what is left. I also think having all the food to eat in the world at any time you want is way worse than lots of people fishing. And it is another factor that negates “pressure.” You can take it for what it’s worth. But fishing without catching can’t pressure the fish.- To Blend In or to Stand Out?
I see it like this you can match the hatch. If fish are eating the hatch. They might not be. But anyone who has spent a lot of time fishing where real bait is the only option and lures are a no go—if you drop that fish’s favorite thing to eat, it’ll eat it, even if it is not the hatch. Fish go crazy for their favorite foods. So I am always torn on matching or trying to find out what that fish’s favorite thing to eat is.- Suggestions for Targeting a Large Bass in a Heavily Pressured Park Pond
Still might not be possible. The only thing I believe about “pressure” is that people might think they are making a better fishery by removing all the dumbest easiest to catch fish. But, instead, it causes a blue gill explosion. The BG ruin the spawn and you get no fish, except for the smartest fish with the best senses. They almost can’t be caught. That’s what I’ve seen. But “pressure” I don’t believe in it. Once the dumb catchable fish are gone, you have two options, keep trying or use real live bait. And even that might not work.- Portable Electronics for Ponds
I do, but I know there have to be places where fish pile up, especially at this time of year. Never found them like that. Not there. Way to small to be charted. The size of this wouldn’t even count as a pond to most bass fishermen. Definitely not a lake.- Portable Electronics for Ponds
cant use something like this. This is small water. Cant be charted. Cant launch a boat. Need something portable and that can be used from the bank.- 2 shot club
After being possibly “exposed” I tested negative for Covid a week later, and got Shot # 2 on Wednesday, less than 14 days after possible exposure. The shot hurt more from the time he stuck me. But the injection site was less painful overall. Actually barely hurts now. But yesterday, because I didn’t feel like cooking, I called my wife to ask what I should take out for dinner when I stopped to get gas on my way home from work. Between the time I got out of the car to when I got back in, there was no way I could eat. I went home feeling all weird. My skin hurt in some places. By 7pm I took my temperature — 100.8, went up to 101.1 by 8 and down to 100.3 at 9. Went to bed feeling cold at 9. Woke up around 3am because it was too hot. Kicked off all of the blankets. By the time I got up at 6:30am, my temperature was 98.3. Was thirsty all morning. Drank a 32oz Gatorade and feel fine now. - Lures you want to try, but just haven’t.
