Did home made McRib style sandwiches today, using the boneless ribs from Costco with lightly salted onions that sat on the counter all day for more authentic flavor.

One thing I love to eat while fishing is sour patch kids. Since it’s usually hot and I am constantly casting, it works like Gatorade. Otherwise I probably go for premier protein shakes from Costco. But beef jerky and things like spicy slim Jim’s are also fishing favorites for me.

I do not carry a knife every day. I like the Smith & Wesson M&P knives though.

I prefer dropping another screw that’s the same size on the floor to make it easier to find the one I just dropped.

When I joke about things like, I don’t need to listen to someone else because I already know everything there is to know about fishing, the joke is that whenever I thought I knew something and then learn there’s still more to learn, I feel like I don’t know what I’m doing all over again. Happens all the time.

If you already have the Tatula, get the Curado.

Because I got an email saying they should be shipping at the end of last week. Dying here. Just cleaned the drain trap of the washing machine... Still a good day if your son got 2.

Cabin fever strikes. Weather is getting warm. Waiting for new rig to arrive from preorder/backorder. Back into quarantine. Warm enough outside today to have a window or two open at 10pm tonight. This part of the year is worse than February for me.

It depends on the size of the guides the size of the knot and how heavy your casting.

All I’m going to say is flagship rods and reels are most likely to be the most disappointing.

Quarantine got me off Friday. Would be fishing today, but it’s a no go here, still too cold. Took care slid all the household chores early. Popped a few of the big drumsticks on the BBQ. My youngest sons favorite. Last time they were too hot from the smoked paprika I used. Toned the heat down this time.

Nice fish. I was not too happy about those dark sleeper hooks and wood. They bend up too easy for the price.

I only have 2 tatulas, but they were silent out of the box if memory serves me. But I don’t really remember because I upgraded all the bearings and bushings right away.

Ooooooooh, you’re killing me here! I love bread. This is killin’ me after being low carb for the last 3 months. I specifically went to the pizzeria around here with the charred smoky crust last night. Love sourdough, too. Tried my hand at making fresh breads during the lockdown, but decided to leave the bread making to the bakery.

Sounds about right, since there is not much difference when you go up one level at this price point. Are the blanks for the Zodias and Expride even different?

I don’t use a reel that solid unless I’m likely to catch something over 25lbs.

I know. Lots of guys want that “solid” gear. Use it if you like it. I’ll pass on that because solid usually means heavy.

I’m going to have to start aiming for that and not commenting for a while.....

So I take it no one has tried RDR2. This is the best fishing game I’ve ever played. Even though fishing is just an aside in the game. You don’t get to really pick bait or spots (you can a little), but as far as video game fishing goes, it’s seriously the best video game fishing experience I know of. And no, I was never able to catch the legendary channel catfish.

Were you fishing for tuna or Marlins?

So I’m sitting here waiting for a new setup and for fishing to become worthwhile weatherwise. And as I read through posts and people’s opinions, I come to this question: Do you think it’s better to reduce the weight of your setup by getting a lighter reel or a lighter rod? Or is all weight the same, so it doesn’t matter?

I’d go with either the Curado, brand new. Or a 16 Metanium if you want to go used.
