  3. Thanks Glenn. Sorry about posting this in the wrong section of the forum.
  4. Has anyone used the seaguar flippin braid. I am putting a flippin rod together and was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience with it. I have used the sufix 832 on my frog rod and my thick cover spinnerbait rod and it has performed well. I would appreciate any input or advise anyone could give me.
  5. You live in Florida. Be patient and that double digit bass well come. I have caught several in the double digits and my personal best being over 12lbs. You will have a feeling of self satisfaction when you especially catch them all on artificial baits and putting everything to gather that you have learned. Hope that was motivational. Sometimes luck has a lot to do with it
  6. Lately I have been using the double Colorado blades pitching them under docks. The Colorado blades seem to lower the rate of fall. The bass seem to hitting the spinnerbait just as it starting to fall. Here is a picture of one of the bass that I caught underneath docks
  7. I have to agree. I fished Lake George on Sunday morning and I believed my Garmin read 83 degree water temp. My daughter and I did really well with the bass. She caught one at least 5lbs on a spinnerbait. What is strange is how it can be the same conditions and water depth, but move a few hundred feet and the water temp is higher. Maybe that is the nature of fishing tidal water.

  9. Someone peeked in on me while I was fishing.
  10. It's not unusual when fishing thick vegetation to pull up 6lbs of weeds with a 2lb fish being attached underneath it. If in doubt set the hook.
  11. It think their have been a lot of good points made here. Lures of the past should still work today. Basically most lures of today are lures of the past but with some type of cosmetic change. This is just my observation, it seems to me that fishing pressure has something to do with it concerning catching large trophy bass on lures. I have been fortunate to be able to fish golf courses where basically they hit on everything we threw catching 8 pound and above fish. I believe this is from the lack of fishing pressure. I believe I saw a video where a bass was caught on a piece of liquorish swimming it across a pond. I believe good fisherman are the ones that are able to adapt with changing conditions and learning from trial and error especially in high pressured fishing conditions.
  12. Took a photo of the St. John’s River and notice Donald Duck in the clouds.

  20. Welcome to the forum. My daughter and son still fish and hunt with me. All my kin grew up hunting and fishing to gather. You might call it a "Family Tradition". I no we grew up with go family values and that's what I instill in mind. I thank you and everyone who is still able to spend time with your children or grandchildren.
