What are two lakes that you've always wanted to fish but never have? #1 for me would be Toledo Bend. 2nd would be Dale Hollow. My choices are based on reading about these legendary lakes, and becoming a big fan of the famous fisherman who called these lakes their home waters. Some of the all time greats come from Texas, and Dale Hollow with Billy Westmoreland. What would be your choice, for a dream bass fishing trip?

I have never actually fished either of those, are they supposed to be good for bass? 

Lake Fork......Kentucky Lake......only 2 left on my bucket list.....

Okeechobee and co-angler on an average day with @A-Jay so he can show me how to catch those beautiful, big, fat smallies.  

Thousand Islands and Falcon Lake.

While I am blessed to be in California with so many lakes, reservoirs, and rivers for some quality fishing.  I have dreamed of fishing Lake Guntersville (Alabama) and Sam Rayburn Reservoir (Texas)

I retire next year and plan on taking some time and fishing all over these great US lakes.  I have been blessed to fish a lot of bucket list lakes and still have a lot more to explore.  Hopefully one of them will appeal to me enough to sell my house here in Virginia and relocate to a lake home.  I can't wait!!

You ever wanna come to Lake Erie I live 5 minutes from the harbor. Lake Erie pre spawn smallmouth is the best you will ever see! Catch 50 bass easily all between 3-5 pounds no problem.

I'd throw in El Salto and Biwa in Japan for outside the country lakes. All domestic lake already mentioned plus Clear and Castaic.

100% correct.... I live in Buffalo... Blessed to have to have Erie and the River.

I live in Dunkirk!! Small world man. I fished the Niagara river few weeks ago with buddy from work.

Yes, very good for Smallmouth Bass! I've never been, but have read a ton about both places.

 

I friend has been to the Boundry Waters twice that I know of. A float plane flew him and his party from Ely, MN out to a certain location. At the location, the outfitter had canoes stationed with enough supplies (camping and food) for seven days. They brought their own fishing equipment. The group floats back to a prearranged pick up point. Greg told me that by day five or six, he was sick of catching Smallies and Walleye. I called b/S but he swore that it was true.

I've caught one Smallmouth in my life, it was about 6" long on Lake Taneycomo (Rockaway Beach).

 

So I would love to fish anywhere with a healthy population of Smallmouth.

 

Largemouth, Mexico or California Delta ?

@Catt you're not that far from Pickwick.  It's a great SM lake.

I’m lucky enough to have already gotten to take my dream bass fishing trip- Lake Baccarac, Sinaloa, Mexico. Can’t wait to get back to there for another attempt at a double-digit....fell 3 ounces short last time. 

 

Next on my list of lakes I want to take a bass trip to would be Lac Seul in Ontario, Canada.
