I work during the week 8 to 5. I try to fish daylight to noon one day on the weekend. My honey do list takes care of the rest of day and church on most Sundays. I used to try and fish a couple of hours in the evening before dark after work. But now we get consent torrential down pours from the rain every evening now. Lucky I own a boat

Nice fish. Lately I have doing really well on spinnerbaits.

I fish St. Johns river which seems to have tournament after tournament. I have learned to try and fish lures that maybe strange in color. Or color you would not fish yourself. My son fished a color on a lizard bait that looked like it was made in an accidental lab experiment. He caught several bass that day as I watched scratching my head. TRY ANYTHING!!!!!

Fished last Sunday morning. It was tuff fishing caught all my fish on spinnerbaits. Most of them seemed only to be in the pound and half to two and half range. I usually catch at least one or two in the seven and up range. Maybe the full moon or being constantly bombarded by rain lately could have been a factor.

No doubt my most fun and favorite lure to fish is a frog. I love the explosions and the anticipation of that bait being hammered. Most of my biggest fish came from buzzbaits, chatterbaits, frog baits, spinnerbaits and my biggest bass over 12lbs was caught on a Carolina rig lurking in the deep water in February.

I have had the same experience with high temps and bait fish swimming around not being harassed. I went to several locations where I knew there were shell bars in deeper water. I was finally able to locate them between 16 to 18ft using a 6xd.

Locating shell bars can be done with a good fishfinder by using your side scan. Some of them are not vary large. But I have seen them stacked with fish. Most people who fish the St. Johns river know that it is tidal specific. Mainly on an out going tide. I wish I could help you more. Most of my fishing is from deep creek south. Most of the bass fishermen I know will go to their grave with their shell bar locations do to the fishing pressure. I can tell you this too, these bass may not be at a particular location the first time you fish it. But wait an hour or so then go back and check it again, there is a good chance they will show back up. The same thing applies to fishing sand bars.

Hurricane Irma did a number on it.Fish are still there. Just have to learn how to adjust with new fishing patterns. And more fishing pressure

I fish the St. Johns River which is also tidal. Lost most of the grass in the northern part of the river after hurricane Irma. Fish mainly shellbars, drops and docks.

I am with N Florida Mike. I have eaten a lot of saltwater fish. Have not began glowing at night yet

A lot times I will go out specially around noon to fish docks. Bass are feeding on everything else trying to get out of the sun. I don't waste my time on every dock, just the docks with certain characteristics that I learned through hours of fishing time

I fished Rodman Dam near Palatka Fl in which you have stumpfields and all kinds of different floating vegetation. I think learning to become versatile is a big part in becoming successful at flipping. Like it was said earlier, especially when dealing with high pressured lakes or rivers
