  1. Fixed that for you, LOL. I've fished spinnerbaits for nearly 40 years and have never noticed one that was accurate based on the weight advertised. I'll also add that the diameter of the wire also has a big affect on the baits action, drag in the water and the overall feeling of weighing more than scales indicate.
  2. I've not had a chance to fish it yet. Hoping to get out this week to my favorite honey hole to see how they react to it. I'm in your camp. I intend to pop it a couple of times and then give it a few seconds pause. This oughta be fun.
  3. How can you, in all good conscious, make a post about a lure like that without including a PICTURE of it?? Come on, man!
  4. It weighs in at 3/8 oz and is shaped like a missile. My Tatula Elite will send this bait into low orbit! I can cast it much further than I need to to effectively work it.
  5. As long as it's wearing a mask it should be fine mixing with the other baits..
  6. Friend, you are in a bad way. Bait Monkey chewing on one ear and wife chewing on the other. Not a great place to be. I recommend a second source of income as this hobby will take further than you ever thought possible! I'm an addict with no desires for an intervention, so I know from which I speak...
  7. 23:59!!!!!!
  8. As you all know, I'm a sucker for a new popper bait. I love fishing them. I couldn't wait to get a couple of these poppers as they have a flash boost that makes the insides shimmer at rest. I've watch a few videos and was impressed with what I saw. So, I ordered a couple and got them in just now. I tested one out in my pool and color me impressed. Of course, catching a fisherman is often much easier than catching a fish! But, I'm confident that this shimmer at rest will be an enticing morsel that bass can't resist. I plan to utilize mine in the very near future and will report back on my success. Anyone else a sucker and bought one of these yet?
  9. You have a 40 ft deep pool?? Wow..... You should be diver certified with water that deep in your back yard!!
  10. Do you know if this water coming in is better quality than the water it's pouring into? I've seen water pumped in that was lower in oxygen and nutrients that actually repelled fish rather than draw them. Just because water is new to a lake doesn't mean it's an improvement. If you were talking about fresh rain water running in from a culvert or creek then you're on to something. Those conditions are ripe for drawing fish. I sure don't know your situation beyond your input here, so don't take my comments too seriously. I'm just speaking from past personal experiences.
  11. A couple of hours AIR temp drop has little to no affect on water temps. However, dramatic barometric changes can trigger a feeding response. It sounds to me that your lack of success it more predicated on your locations rather than weather conditions.
  12. A little lemon pepper with some cajun seasoning and broiled bass are scrumptious! Wait.... I catch the majority of my summer bass in less than 4 ft of water at temps above 90 degrees. I will admit that most of them are also in some sort of shade, whether that be docks, logs, standing trees, or even boats.
  13. I got 8 kids to prove otherwise! Thanks again.
  14. That's interesting seeing I don't ever browse that type of stuff. Which is why I'm on this forum, since it's so clean and ethical. Thanks for the clarification.
  15. This made my day... And everyone that reads this statement knows the exact definition of that word in how it applies to how a plastic sometimes runs. Well said, A-Jay.
  16. Yeah, I'm pretty convinced he feels he was abducted by an alien.
  17. He's a new member. Maybe the mods can merge the threads since they're very similar in nature.
  18. He posted this on another thread as well..... Interesting contribution.

    very informative.
  20. If I put that lure where I normally put my buzz baits I wouldn't get one handle crank before it would be snagged on wood.
  21. I hear Irene..... or the end of a scene.....
  22. I second the Dirty Jigs Guppy Swim bait head. The hook is fairly stout for it's size and these heads work perfect with a 3" paddle tail. I've caught some nice fish on these jig heads with no issues.

Did you lose it? If not, please post a clearer picture of it. There are some very talented detectives on this forum that could get you an answer pretty quickly, I'm sure. It looks like a crappie jig of sorts to me. And welcome to Bass Resource!
  24. In a recent thread I requested info from the vast experiences represented here at Bass Resource concerning your favorite skipping jig. I appreciate the responses. While purchasing some Slug-Go's from Lunker City I inadvertently happened across this little jewel: Meet the PanHead Jig. It's truly built like a flat rock and skips like one as well. It's a full size jig in several weights. I chose 3/8 oz and it works great. My one complaint is the trailer keeper leaves much to be desired. However, one spot of super glue and that issue is resolved. And I caught a really nice bass on it today. The color reflected in the pic is not the color of my jigs, just the color I chose for contrast against the black background. And here's a shot of the first bass I caught with it:
