what is your Daily Driver?
You're too kind. It's a 2019 (last year of the REAL Corvette IMO) and I've racked up a little over 50,000 miles on her. No garage queen for me.

- How do you repair a hollow body frog?
If the body isn't torn then, yes it can be done. I'm assuming these are HOLLOW bodied frogs. It's easiest for me to get the hook back in position when I still have the bait tied on. I use the line as a pull point to maintain slight but steady pressure as I feed the hook back through the frog.- Looking Hard at the Shimano Bantam MGL A Casting Reel ~
That cleared it right up for everyone.... Sounds like an infomercial.... You don't have to share your secrets. No harm intended with my questions. ??- Looking Hard at the Shimano Bantam MGL A Casting Reel ~
Care to clarify that question a bit? You got some back door option to get a steep discount on your reels you care to share with the rest of us?- What device do you use to browse the forum?
Can't be as there isn't a single monitor on BassResource. Out of 34 available screens not a one contains ANY fishing. Nice try...- Why the Change from White to Red"?
In all actuality, the sales person that sold it to you should've given you a thorough walk through on the settings and gauges. I would go back in there and request it. It's part of buying the car. Of course, I'm assuming you DID buy it from an actual dealership and not an individual.- Why the Change from White to Red"?
The color changes to red in Sport Mode, I believe. Read the owners manual. Page 353 has this info: ■ When changing to a driving mode other than normal mode ●The background color of the multi- information display changes according to the selected driving mode. I don't have a Rav4. I just like vehicles.- First Light
If I'm not on my boat deck watching the world wake up then I'm not a happy camper. My biggest reason for fishing is the solitude of interacting one on one with nature at it's finest. And it doesn't get any finer than watching the world wake up to another day. It's something about hearing that first bird start singing and seeing that first glow in the east that is full of promise of an exciting day on the water. It stirs the soul and brings clarity to my thoughts. I love it. 40 years of bass fishing and I still get fired up about seeing another day come to life. The last two days have arrived with me in my favorite fishing hole watching the Earth welcome another day. Life is good.- The Bait Monkey
Identifying the problem is a big step. Reaching the point I decide the cycle needs to be broken is a HUGE step. I'm having too much fun. I've reached a point in my life that the enjoyment of fishing is way more important to me than scrounging pennies to leave to my kids. I have retirement and policies to take care of them in the case of my demise, so I'm gonna enjoy my fishing and trying new baits. I'm not in denial, I just don't care... And I've got 5 boys that readily take any and all gear I pass to them. I doubt they've spent $100 in the past year on gear and baits. As soon as something happens to a bait or rod and reel they bring it over and we hang out while I re-spool, re-tie and replenish whatever is needed. Win-win as I get to see my grown boys and they get their gear fixed up. Yeah, me and the bait monkey got it going on and don't need anybody messing with our relationship.- Deps Cover Scat...
From what I've seen on the tube longevity is really affected by the hook. Some tried screw-lock and it was very short lived. Some tried differing lengths of un-weighted EWG hooks with better results. I'll never know because I won't be obtaining any unless I find them in a bargain bin at my local bait shop.- GLX 844 vs Legend Xtreme Heavy
Maybe posting rod and reel questions in the Rods, Reels, and Line forum will net more response...- Your Fishing Garbage?
I trust the majority of the members here use the super power of common sense and place their trash in a secure location until a trash receptacle is available. What other option is there???- Flying Lures
After having a 2/0 worm hook removed from my eyelid I absolutely refuse to fish with more than one other person in the boat. And that person is on the BACK deck. My boat is 18' long and rated for 3 persons. The aforementioned hook missed my actual eyeball by a miracle. Lesson learned. No fish is worth going through life blind in one eye.- Post a photo a day!
My favorite fishing hole at my favorite time of morning .... Lord willing, will be on it Thursday morning.- Bass Fishing Rules to live by
Don't get caught in a cycle of throwing the same baits with sub-par results. Don't be afraid to try a new technique as everyone else had to start brand new as well. Don't undersell your abilities because of your lack of high end equipment. Look, listen, learn. I've been fishing over 40 years and still learn something on every trip. Remember, it's about the experience. Some lakes don't have double digit bass in them. Who cares. Don't let that lessen your experiences and enjoyment of fishing. Catching a big bass is the ultimate goal, in most cases, just don't get too caught up on everyone else's definition of BIG.- Suggest a BC and braided line for frogs
I fish a lot of docks and low hanging tree limbs (shade) with a frog. So, I skip a lot. I love Daiwa reels with the SV spool. I've learned that I can set my brakes at half or so and bomb long casts and then crank the brakes to about 2/3 (16-18 on a Tatula) and skip like a pro. As soon as I'm done skipping for a few casts I lower the brakes back to half and keep bombing away. Best of both worlds, in my opinion. And I use 30-40lb PowerPro braid.- Best colors/lures for SoCal
You'd probably get a better and more accurate response posting this in the Local Forums Western Division.- Live crawdads, to use as bait. Large or small?
Freshwater LOBSTER?? A crawfish as wide as your hand is......impossible? I've grown up in Louisiana and have caught some monster crawfish, but your description outdoes any crawfish I've ever seen. Gotta have some pictures! Take a scoop net and harvest a couple.- It Was Raining and There Were No Kids at the Water Park

I have one and really enjoy fishing with it. It's my dedicated popper rod. It's very light and balanced with a Tatula Elite.- Why do bait companies make frog legs so long?
You mean like this? Snag proof Bobby's Perfect Frog- Shimano World Pop
I got to use my World Pop this morning. The topwater bite wasn't the deal, but I did catch a couple on it. And the largest one did smoke it on the pause...mission accomplished. He short struck it first and I gave it a pause. He spun around and hit it like he meant it the second go around. I am confident this bait will be a key item in my popper selections this fall. Oh yeah, it casts like a bullet. I can launch this thing into low orbit. Not sure if the Jet Boost has anything to do with it or not, but I can ever more get some distance. Also, it will walk like a champ. So best of both worlds as far as popper/walker goes. It doesn't pop as aggressively as some of my other options; more of a subtle pop. It does ride a bit low in the water which is a good thing since it allows more "Flash Boost" to work under the surface. So combining the walking along with the pauses it definitely is a keeper in my book.- cuts on fingers from fishing line...
