Screen size for livescope?
I’m using a 93 and yes bigger would be better but it’s what I had and works well.

How many lures catch 80% of your bass?
Soft plastics ( senko type, speed worms, creatures/craws, flukes, in that order) Jigs ( swim and hair jigs) Topwaters ( minnow type, spooks, hollow frogs)

Golf gloves for fishing
Which model Aftco fingerless did you get? I have a pair of their heavy offshore ones I wear when I go saltwater but they are way too heavy for bass fishing. I have Simms sun gloves but they just don’t have the “ grip power” I’m looking for. That’s my main reason for thinking about golf gloves is their gripping power. They feel almost tacky on a gold club.

Golf gloves for fishing
Does anyone use them for fishing? I’m looking for lightweight gloves that help with gripping the rod and these seem like the perfect solution. I’ve played golf so I’m familiar with their ability to help grip the club. I know they make a rain version that increases grip when wet.

Fall Florida Trip
Cypress, Toho and Kissimmee would be your best bets on the chain. Not a long paddle to productive water. Kissimmee you’ll want to go out of Overstreet Landing. That’ll put you right by north cove. East Lake Toho is easy access as well. I don’t know if there is access along Tiger except from Kissimmee itself. And that’s a long paddle. Like @crypt said, Gentry isn’t worth the trip.

Fall Florida Trip
Jackson is pretty remote, especially the parking. I fished it once probably 20 years ago and was worried about my truck being broke into the entire time. It get very little fishing pressure from what I could tell. Lake Marion in Keenensville is tough to figure out but I did catch my personal best on a trap there in February 😉

Let's see you DDs!
I’ve caught 2 in my lifetime, a 10-14 and an 11-3 but this one was just shy of 10. She would have easily been over if she wasn’t spawned out.

Stand up seat
I ended up going with one from bassboatseats.

Stand up seat
Looking for recommendations on what brand stand up pedestal seat to get. I’m leaning towards the Tempest Pro Casting seat. Has anyone used this one?

Which partner would you pick?
Your dad. And that’s from a guy who is in his early 70’s. Being a saltwater fisherman it should be an easy transition to bass fishing. Almost all bass lures can be throw on spinning tackle, some better than baitcasters such as certain topwaters, flukes and finesse baits. Just let him fish those while you try others on the bc until y’all figure something out. And he won’t come with bad habits like #1 ( dropping lids, getting frustrated) .

Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages Like @Mike L I live in Florida and can fish year round. I’m also semi retired and self employed so I can pretty much choose when I fish, which is 99% of the time during the week. Disadvantages Age. @A-Jay and @Swamp Girl and others can attest to it as they are close to me. Being in my early 70’s I just don’t have the stamina I used to. Desire yes, stamina not so much. Living here in Florida my entire life, I think I tend to fish history a lot which as you know can be a detriment. Also being on a fixed income affects my decisions as to where to fish.

Bass Techniques that Work for Salt and Brackish Water
Most bass lures will work on saltwater species, especially inshore ones. @Catt has a good list as well as the others. Living here in central Florida and having fished a LOT in saltwater I can attest to the lures mentioned. For sea trout, redfish, jacks, tarpon, snook and ladyfish, a spook type topwaters or chug bug will get you all the bites you can handle. Flukes, spoons and smaller swim baits get the nod for sub surface presentations. Hoping a soft plastic on a jig head will get you flounder as well. While not a bass lure per se, get you some goofy jigs in 1/8 and 1/4 oz in pink and flo orange. They’ll catch all the above at times and are my go to for pompano and whiting. Triple tail like them too.

If you don't fish tournaments, why do you fish for bass?
Because; they’re green but they’re brown they're everywhere but they’re nowhere they’re shallow but they’re deep they're in open water but they’re in thick cover they strike a lure hard but the strike softly they’re where they should be but where they shouldn’t be 🙂
