  1. Black with some blue, whether a worm or jig, is my go to color down here.

They have gotten a lot of my money over the years. They are legit and have great sales.
  3. Ahh, I see them now. Thanks for the clarification.
  4. While this looks like a great, although expensive mount, the issue is still the same. The bolts used to assemble appear to have “regular “ lock nuts on security torx bolts. This is the weak link to all mounts, the nuts and bolts that are used to assemble the mount themselves. The point is to eliminate the weak link in ALL mounts, that being the fasteners that are used to assemble it.
  5. A good day, where we get home safe and hopefully catch a few bass. If we each ( my wife and I) catch our “ limit”, being 5 a piece, that’s a great day in our book.
  6. I have and found a bunch. Just looking for some first hand experience before buying any.
  7. Guide, that’s WAY out of my budget and not what I really need. I have a Balz Out mount ( which is awesome) that’s secured by a 3/16” steel cable woven through the locking knobs. My concern is the (4) bolts/ nuts used to secure the bracket to the mount.
  8. Has anyone used theft proof bolt when mounting their electronics bracket to a mount. If so what type did you use? I already have E-Locks locking the unit to the bracket but the bracket to mount bolts are susceptible to being easily removed.
  9. My fishing partner is my life partner, my wife of 28+ years. She has out-fished me on more than one occasion, backs the trailer down better than most of my male friends and is the love of my life and my soulmate. She prefers a bait caster to a spinning reel and fishing soft plastics is her specifically.
  10. No worries bud?
  11. I gallon zips won’t fit over a 12” machine.
  12. Had almost the experience as you Mike. My first Redman tournament on the Kissimmee Chain. I drew Shaw Grigsby as my boater. It was February and a cold front had just gone through. It was in the 30’s that morning. Shaw put on a motorcycle helmet and looked at me and said “ are you ok?” I said you just drive. He got this big grin on his face. Fastest I’ve gone was in a buddy’s Gambler with a 175 Merc. It was one of the first ones with the tunnel. We got up to 75 but that thing started to chine walk so he had to back off some. Fastest I drove was my old Drifter 1750. 65 was tops in it.
  13. Senko Texas rigged with 3/16 wt and 4/0 Senko wacky Vibe/speed worm Rage bug for flipping Swimbait
  14. 10” dark worms and black buzzbaits is what I used when I night fished. Our club used to have a night tournament every year on East Lake Toho in Central Florida. Clear water lake. I used those 2 baits to win it one year but they produced fish every year. I don’t fish at night anymore though.
  15. A little clarity. My first picture is a little misleading. The swing away tongue is retracted back and the truck bumper right up against the trailer That’s so that the boat and the truck fit into my carport. This is only for storage. When towing, the swing away tongue it rotated into the straight position and the steps are at least 3’ from the truck. Hope this helps explain a little better.
  16. Permanent mount. I have a swing away tongue which adds about 3’ to the front of the trailer. You’d have to jackknife it to make it touch anything. here’s a better picture
  17. Here’s mine. The tall handle helps a bunch.
  18. I ended up getting a dry bag like suggested. Will see how it works. Thanks all
  19. I like it.
  20. Looking for a cover for a 12” Lowrance. Not a screen cover ( have that) but either a canvas or poly cover that goes over the entire unit. Any suggestions where I can find one. All my searches come up with covers that are too small. Thanks.

  22. Welcome and hi from another Steve. I’m in debary Florida
  23. https://cablz.com/ These are what you need. I’ve never lost a pair using them.
  24. Semi retired 9 years ago. Started my own LLC back then and did part time work, consulting and training for the industry I’ve been in for almost 50 years. I’m still going some cad design for a couple of companies but that’s about it. My wife got laid off from her job about 2 years after I started the business and couldn’t find anyone that wanted to hire her at her age so she helped me with the business. She is my #1 fishing partner so we go a couple times a week during the week, weather permitting. I’m about 3 minutes from one ramp and 12 minutes from another on the St. John’s river in central Florida. Plus I’m only about 45-50 minutes from the Harris Chain.
  25. Henry, my existing setup is similar to your third option, transducer cable running through a piece of hose. It work ok but still gets wrapped too tight on spot lock. After much research, I’ve decided to go with a ram mount with the pvc pole option. It’s the least expensive, other than complete homemade, and if it needs to be changed, the ram mount will work for other alternatives.
