  1. Would you mind posting the schematic?
  2. 22 grams without a hook. It flies.
  3. SK Magnum Caffeine Shad. Check the auction site for great deals on them. Try this hook in 6/0 or 7/0:Berkley Fusion19 Swimbait Hooks | Bass Pro Shops
  4. John Canada in 4th. Brandon Lester's dangerous in the Top 10. If it gets shut down due to wind tomorrow, it'll probably blow up everyone's waypoints. Dark horse winner probably.
  5. It's small, but it's not really a finesse reel. Pretty much a standard Tat minus a little max drag. Do it to it.
  6. Watch the vids. Tatula Elite – Daiwa US
  7. Thank God Daiwa was merciful and included a bag to wear over my head!?
  8. Hackney and a few of the Elites are struggling today. Drew Cook is in the top 10 right now. Milliken is holding at 3rd for the moment.
  9. That's cool. We'll see what the fish tell me where I fish. I can see this one working in chilly water late in the prespawn while the grass is still low. The zoom is heavy. Just another option.
  10. Cool. I run Magnum UV speed worms and Yum thumpin' dingers, but they need to be run on the quick side. Will definitely try some of these for super slow rolling.
  11. Make sure you limber up first!
  12. SDJ for Fluoro. IC for braid and mono.
  13. I'm not doing it myself. I'm fine with it as it is, even though I prefer full cork, but what does that cost typically?
  14. I thought it was eastern Europe. 16oz or something. Looks cool, but my limit is 6 1/2 oz. Bombing that weight alone for a while on a 908 can wear a brother out! Maybe even do long term damage. It's unwieldy.
  15. Matt Lures Surface Glide 10" 6.3oz. Gantarel Jr for comparison.
  16. Help me, O Lord. I can't...
  17. I believe Lane will still defend at Redcrest though. Milliken also debuts with Elite series hopes. Should be interesting. He'll have a personal chase boat and drone footage to document the success or carnage.
  18. I'll always gently offer help to kids I see struggling, but not when they have their fathers present. No need to embarrass a dad, and it was clear as a few have subtly reacted that way, so I leave them be now. His kids should feel like he's superman no matter what. I'm usually wading, so I'll usually offer to un-snag the shore bound. Everyone happily accepts that courtesy without a red face. Quite a few newbies to bait casters who I've watched blowing up constantly have gotten full lessons when I've had the time. I've only failed twice AFAIK. One guy had full blown ADD. Just hopeless, and the other was a total spazz who insisted on casting one-handed with a 7'3" rod. He had weak wrists or something, so it looked like he was trying to swat flies with a badminton racquet. Thick as a brick. For everyone else? As it turns out, you can often judge a book by its cover when it comes to people. I've gotten better at quickly sniffing out a jackazz right off the jump, and usually without a word spoken, so they're ignored unless they're drowning, stranded, or convulsing.
  19. That's OK. Don't sweat it. Nothing at all to worry about, unless god is a LM Bass. Ya might be in tad of trouble then.?
  20. The reason this is true for me is not some high-minded thing, but that colors simply aren't on my radar. They never were. Shapes are my thing. My wife picked out every stich of clothes I wear. She calls me her Ken doll. Before her it was my girlfriends going back to the first one. My mother came with me to pick out all of my suits for my first suit-and-tie job. I still can't pick out a tie. Left to my own devices I'd obliviously walk around looking like a poorly color coordinated lumber jack. That's not to say I can't spot something slick looking, but if any of my combos happen to be jazzy, it was purely by accident.
  21. Never had this issue. I throw them a lot, but I don't fish them through wood. Then again, not much wood around here. But I know someone who lost a fin when he skimmed a piling slinging one under a bridge. They sent a new bait. Have heard this repeated several times over time. Some guys add thin superglue at the junction of a fin's perimeter and the body to anchor them better.
  22. 6th Sense Axis Metal 2.0 Crankbait - Tackle Warehouse
  23. Nope. I can appreciate slick looking gear for a minute, but I fish in the dark, so I really don't think about it, hence, I don't care. As long as I'm not negatively distracted by something involving performance or comfort, I'm good. X2. Reel covers and rod sleeves unless I'm swinging. I despise cosmetic damage. Even on my inexpensive stuff.
  24. Keep trying. They're usually good about straightening you out with those.
