So if braking was not a huge concern, what else would you say they fail at. Is Thailand always the better choice than China?

I fish mostly the 110, but own several others. They were the size I learned to fish and have a lot of confidence in. I would love to hear how you fish them and what you fish them on. I fish with a a high rod tip and keep as much line out of the water as possible. My buddy fishes the 90 a lot, it is what he has confidence in, and he probably catches more fish than I do, but I am ok with that, just looking for a couple of really good hits.

I hear you, I have several and have good luck on most of them. I like the powder and T1000 colors and use them a lot. Just thought it might be fun to paint some custom colors. T.Y. found them.

Make a list of the things that you would find beneficial for a reel on a frog rod. Once you do that you will know what your looking for.

For fried fish I like to pan fry them in clarified butter with a pinch of garlic and onion powder, hit them with a pinch of salt and pepper.

I have a few, I went simple and and purchased the white python, G.G. bass and black orochi, I have caught more on the white python than the others.

What are the weaknesses of this reel compared to the Daiwa?

Hard to get any wetter than soaking something in water.

One of the reasons I like to use KVD Line and Lure on mono and braided line. Helps reduce hygroscopy.

Water saturation is also a factor when discussing stretch and nylon mono filament fishing line. Typically the longer it is wet the more stretch it exhibits (to a point) and less abrasion resistant it becomes.

My observation of a major difference between Mono and FC is the difference in the way they stretch. I am not speaking of total stretch at breaking strength, that is very similar. I am also not talking about plasticity or deformation, I don't find it important at breaking strength. What I do find a difference in is that Mono line tends to start stretching very early and much more linearly than FC. In other words it stretches throughout the entire ramp up to break off strength. FC line in my observation tends to be much different, in most situations of normal fishing the FC line stretches significantly less than Mono, it is not until you start reaching the near break off rating of FC line that it start to stretch. Most other differences seem to be covered in nauseating detail ie, knot strength, abrasion resistance, and refractive index. My .02 on the differences I observe when using both lines. For the record I use Tatsu, and Defier Armilo.

OK, I understand your thoughts on this, I am still a little confused on the necessity to set the magnetic control to 0 prior to making the spool tension adjustment. Thoughts?

What did they upgrade them to? Ceramic or what?
