I have the Champion 703 and 734 and as an all purpose rod I prefer the 734. I think the 734 is one of the best rods in their line up.

They are have having big problems with Ultrex. Lots of posts online with similar stories.

I agree, the Monsoor jigs also typically use a thin wire hook VS the thick hook you see in the CA inspired swim jigs.

I would say that their is a pretty big difference, but not sure how much of it is in terms of performance compared to ego.

Before long they will have a rod holder that is controlled by the fish finder that automatically selects and positions your rod to the location of the most promising fish. These electronics have made the SPORT of fishing less fun to watch in my opinion.

Sounds about right to me, when walking a frog the rod works the bait and the reel picks up the slack line.

sealed AGM and gel cell battery voltage (fully charged) will be slightly higher in the 12.8 to 12.9 range. So yes a minimum of 36 but actually more like 38-39 volts. Check your charger instructions and make sure there is not a plug that needs removed or installed so your charger will realize you are using AGM's, they have a different charge sequence than reqular flooded cell batteries do. You could check the motor itself by plugging in your battery charger, then quickly depress the foot switch to see if you get any blade rotation.

Couple of thoughts, be sure your hooks are sharp, I know it goes without saying. In you original post you gave some information about the rod having a recommended lure weight of 1/8-7/16 oz and that you were throwing a 1/4 oz or 4/16th oz swim jig with a speed craw trailer. I don't know what a speed craw weights off the top of my head but I would guess that it is at least another 1/4 oz or another 4/16th of an ounce and combined put you over the recommmended lure weight or at any rate on the high side of it. I personally would try removing the mono leader and see if it helps. If not I agree with R.W. and you may need to step up a power in rods. does the rod feel overloaded with the jig and trailer?

Is sensitivity a factor when swimbait fishing?

Measure your AGM Batteries individually and see how much difference there is between them. Almost sounds like 1 of them is bad if you have everything wired correctly. I learned the hard way, I plug the trolling motor in and hit the button, I want to see it spin before I leave the house.
