Breaking when I cinch it down. I pull both ends to snug it then pull on tag end and then pull mainline at the end. Breaking on the final step when I pull the mainline tight. Using power pro doesn’t happen all the time. Maybe bad line?

What hooks are you guys using for a 5” senko? I was using the standard gamakatsu ewg but have had issues with the bait sliding down the hook after a few bites or one fish

I recently bought straight black and straight green pumpkin and notice the black is softer and has better action than the green pumpkin on a fall. Anyone else notice this? The watermelon and black are the same “softness” where as the green pumpkin with black flake and another color seem “harder” and less durable with not as much wiggle on the fall

Yeah I’m not sure why. The shim didn’t really do much to be honest. I’ll just fish it

I added the thinnest shin in the pick and the line doesn’t seem to spool as high. This was after a few casts

My sahara does the same thing. Spools a bit higher. Never noticed a difference with performance I spooled it tight with a glove in. My sahara lays line the same way

You don’t loosen them?

Is this really necessary to do after a days worth of fishing with better reel technology? I fish 3-4 days a week and sometimes forget to set the drag and poof there goes a missed fish. @Delaware Valley Tackle

I’m curious I’ve been looking into fishing the exact same senko setup and 1/16oz pegged weight. What rod and reel are you fishing it on and what lb line and lb leader? How are you fishing it?

I’ve heard of some guys pegging a light 1/16oz weight with their senkos. What advantage does this give you? Wouldn’t the senko fall nose down?

That’s what I want, I want a slower fall in the shallow water I’m fishing

Do you guys keep the swimbait hook flush with the bait or do you put it in the plastic a bit

Does straight braid have any negative impact on the fall rate of a 5” senko. Straight 15kb braid tied To 3/0 EWG with palomar

Does leader length affect casting distance? I am using a 5-6’ leader with an Alberto knot and feel like I was casting further with a shorter leader, maybe it’s just me

What do you guys do to prevent a 5lb plus bass from shaking the hook when they come to surface and shake their mouths? I lost two nice bass in upstate Ny last week the same exact way, hooked the fish then they both came to the top and shook mouth and threw the hook

You haven’t found it to have a negative impact on the lure? Especially suspending jerkbaits.. and I assume you remove the split ring too and just attach duolock?
