Line lay is perfect when not reeling in slack

When fishing weightless senkos my line is bunching up towards the bottom of the spool. I guess from retrieving the slack line. When I reel a lure in with resistance and the line is fine, so it’s not the reel. Is there anyway to prevent this? I’m fishing 8lb mono on a stradic. I’ve never had this problem with braid, is it because mono is stiffer than braid?

I recently purchased a curado k and at first the svs dial was stuck and then after some force it moved freely. Went to use the reel again three days later and same thing happened. Is this normal? I’ve read some people have had issues with this on the curados.

Is it really necessary to Back your spool tension knob off your reel after every outing? After reading I’ve found people recommend this to preserve the longevity of the reel. I back my drag off but that’s it

I normally fish two brakes and I know when you set them up you should always have the brake pins set up opposite each other but what if I want to use 3 brakes how do I go about setting that up?

Yeah that’s what I thought this rod is mainly used Bobber fishing so the extra weight prob couldn’t hurt too much. Daiwa makes some 750 sized reels which are in between I may have to look into

Does anyone have experience with 1000 shimanos on 5’ ultralight rods? I’ve always used 500’s on my 5’ UL rods but the 1000’s have a larger spool for better line manageability with 4lb mono. My only concern is there is a 1.5oz weight increase between reels which is a lot for an ultralight setup. Thanks
