  1. Same here I know you can dip them in boiling water but still a PITA. I am actually really looking for a plastic that is much softer than zoom
  2. Similar to a fluke

    Best 1-2’ diving suspending jerkbait?
  4. Shimano sienna spinning reel I have the regal LT. Fishes it 3 times so far and love it. Great drag and smooth
  5. I never had problems with trilene in the 20 years I’ve been using it until now
  6. Well after years of trilene xl use and encountering some knot issues gonna make the switch to stren. How does the 4 and 6lb behave on spinning reels vs trilene xl? Stren seems to be the same with the exception of higher diameter than trilene in the 8lb and up sizes
  7. I have two. They are great
  8. Picked up one in dicks sporting goods as an impulse buy. Anyone use one. Seems to be a very nice reel for $60 and very light
  9. Am I the only one who hates these reels? Every single one I bought had horrible line Lay
  10. My line roller on my nasci isn’t spinning while fishing. The odd thing is when the rod is inside it will spin. I’ve been fishing in 35-50 degree weather and am wondering if the colder weather could make the roller not spin or spin as freely
  11. Has anyone every ordered a rod from fishusa.com? I normally order my rods from tackle warehouse but they don’t have the rod I’m looking for. Just wondering how they’re shipping is

They’ve probably always done this I just never noticed.
  13. 10-15lb braid or 6-8lb mono

Does anyone else have problems with these suspending? I have a bunch of #8’s. I never throw them in warm water so not sure if I have a few duds, but they all rise on the pause .
  15. Loosen drag at the end of each fishing trip. That’s all I do. If it’s working leave it alone. Depending on how much I fish or when I fish saltwater the reel will get a full service the end of every season or two
  16. Funny thing is I just bought this line one week ago and I’ve had it happen other times with different spools
  17. Thanks that could explain it. I was catching many 4-6lb trout on a 5’ ultra light st croix and fighting fish against the current, that could explain it putting too much stress on the line. I am actually thinking of trying 4lb fireline
  18. So was out fishing the last two trips using 4lb trilene xl and it seems after the line has been fished for a while and gets wet every time I tie a knot the Knot will break cinching down. When I get home and the the line is out of the water the line ties knots fine. Not sure what is causing this as I’ve never had this issue before. It’s also been about 40 degrees where I’m fishing and yes I’ve checked my rod guides and line roller on my reel
  19. I like 12 or 15lb trilene big game. Tried braid with jigs and didn’t like it. I don’t use Fluoro
  20. Happens to me all the time surf fishing...by the way those Cordell pencil poppers are killer on stripers
  21. That’s what I thought. Thanks
  22. When cinching down is the loop supposed to go under the overhand knot or on top?
  23. 500-1000 sized shimano that meets your budget spooled with 4lb trilene xl. Using this for years and never had an issue
