What Fishing Line?
I use Yo Zuri 6 lb on my spinning outfits. Last spring I caught a 39 pound flat head on a small crank and fought it for 40 minutes. That line held up remarkedly well. Of course there was some abrasion from that monster's teeth.

In-line Spinners
I agree that Mepps is better quality and they always seem to catch bass. I am also a big fan of Shyster, but they are getting hard to find.

most influential bait of the decade
This is a tough one. The Senko is one for sure. Maybe the surface frogs, seems that they have a big following. I would also nominate the LC Pointer even though jerk baits have been around forever. I would not consider a technique such as drop shotting or shakey head because those methods have ben around for decades lacking those catchy names. I am curious to see what others have to say.

Solution for leaking crankbaits
I very seldom ever have a bait leak anymore. Years ago this was a pretty common problem, they would leak at the seams. I fixed many with this method and I never had a problem with them running strange afterwards. They also never leaked again

What was your first artificial lure?
A Mepps in line spinner. Caught a whole lot of smallmouth and spots wading creeks with those.

Tadpole Imitation
I have seen hungry bass hit a tadpole and spit them out. I don't know what it is but they just don't seem to like them. If that pond has tadpoles it has frogs and that is what I would go with.

Solution for leaking crankbaits
A discussion on another topic reminded me of this old trick. If you have any hollow body hard baits that are taking on water they are real easy to fix. Place the lure in the freezer for a couple of hours, then take it out and immerse it in a glass of hot water, not too hot. The air inside will expand and force bubbles out where the leak is located. Wipe off the lure and smear a little glue over the hole and your are ready to go. This has worked for me every time

Northern Winter Tactics
Park your truck on it. When it falls through it will leave a big enough hole to fish in. Works for me.

Fenwick HMG and Techna AV heads up
Those are both great rods I fished with the HMG's for years and loved them. Now I have some Techna's that I like even better. Those prices are a bargain for sure.

Rapala Jointed Shad Rap
This bait was outstanding for me last season. I got started with it a little late in the spring so I am looking forward to seeing how I will do in the early part of the season.

Tungsten yes or no?
With lead you feel the tap tap, with tungsten it is more of a thump. And as some have already said, you can feel the bottom and the structure much better. I even use tungsten jigs when I can
-
Tungsten yes or no?
I strongly disagree with that statement. Because a more sensitive weight makes it possible to feel more strikes does not mean you were bad fisherman with a lead weight. We spend big bucks for a sensitive rod and a lot of dough for sensitive line. Why not more sensitive weights?

Zoom Brush Hogs
I like them T rigged best. They are a very versatile bait and can be fished many ways. They are probably the best of that type of creature bait.

Will fish die if they swallow plastic worms?
Put everything in your pocket and bring it home with you. Nothing should go overboard.

Craws
I have tried several but have not found a good one yet.

Netcraft Crankbaits
I bought six a couple of years ago just to see how they were and by golly they were not too bad. I think I have two shallow, two medium, and two of something else. I compare them to Bandits at least. I never had any problems with them and I caught a few fish. So yes I say they are worth the price. You have to add hooks of course.

Sweet Beaver
A weightless presentation has been my best.

Grande Bass Rattlesnakes
I have read the FAQS more than once. Thanks.

Grande Bass Rattlesnakes
Since when did trying to boost sales become a no no on this forum? The guy just stated how he fished them and that they were productive. I did not see one word about promoting their sales. Does that mean we can't say Academy sells great baits and they catch fish for a lot less money than the more well known?

What happened to the replies on this topic from MOEDOG13? I thought they were very informative and I did not see anything wrong with what he wrote.
