Were you paying attention?
To be successful you have to get them both right. One is as important as the other. You can waste a lot of time in the wrong place or using the wrong bait. When you get them both right, life is sweet.

Were you paying attention?
Or you could just fish structure with the right lures where there are not any bass.

Were you paying attention?
Catt how do you know all of this?

Rapala X-Rap
you probably have the same problem my dad has when fishing theses baits. he is really stiff and kinda predictable... I told him to try this and it work for him to mix things up loosen up and make it a little more erratic.... just cast it out and sing jingle bells in your head you da da da, da da da , dut dut da dut da, and jerk on the notes... switch from chorus to verse and you get two different retrieves.. which ever one gives you the most bites stick with..

best colors for certain times!?!?!?!?
Here you go, this is a classic text book answer about colors, all you need to know and simple. Print it out and remember it and you will never ask about colors again. Very good answer.

WHAT ARE THE BEST BASS COLORS!?!?!?!?!?!?
There is a whole lot of information to factor into picking the "right" color for a particular place at a particular time. If nothing else works just go with the principle of light and dark colors.

Most Underated Technique or Tackle?
I am surprised that no one has mentioned the Jitterbug. It is still one of the most effective top water baits there is.

Tuning Crankbaits
I use a small snap for crank baits. Seems to let them do their own thing.

Traditional Jig & Pig
I agree with Raul. I went through all of that they are just not worth it, no time, no way.

Swimmin' Brush Hogs??
I have a friend who fishes those on top without weight all of the time. He catches a lot of nice bass like that.

your favorite big fish bait.
I catch big bass on the same baits I catch small bass on. The trick is to be in the right place at the right time. If you put your bait in front of a big bass and it is ready to hit, you will catch him on whatever you are using.

New Soft plastic line From Megastrike
The bug and the tube are the ones I will try first. The tube looks like a dog gone squidd.

Taking it to the next level
I have been learning bass fishing for over 57 years or so. I learn something every trip. Each day presents a new challenge, different conditions, and so you need to find and use the techniques that work that particular day under those conditions. Each problem presents a new opportunity to learn. If you approach it that way you will be successful, but if you think you have all of the answers or if you stay with your predetermined game plan for the day, even when it is not working you will miss those opportunities. Keep an open mind, adapt, and don't follow the "rules", keep learning. You may never be the best, but you can always be the best you can be.

favorite worm....not finese worms
Power Worms seven and four inch. The Berkley baits just get it done for me. I have some others I like very well also, but the Power worms are my favorite by far.

Question about Pros ???
Advertising is informative for sure, it keeps us up to date on the latest technologies. But I have a hard time believing a guy who is getting paid to tell me how great a product is and how it improves his fishing. I rely on the advice and opinions of my peers and most of the people on this forum. I think for the most part it is good, honest information.

"Talent is overrated" - Geoff Colvin 10,000 hours practice
Good luck with your approach. I am sure you will either become a real expert, or another of the many self proclaimed experts.

"Talent is overrated" - Geoff Colvin 10,000 hours practice
Just one man's opinion. I read a book many, many years ago where the author claimed, and proved that the "experts" are wrong at least 80 per cent of the time. I think those guys are all congressmen now.

Budget friendly cranks?
Don't give up on Rapala. I own a bunch of them and I have not had any trouble. And I am not easy on equipment. They perform well and they catch fish.

Vintage Heddon Wood Lures
Do a Google search for vintage lures and you will find sites where the collectors hang out. They can tell you what they are and what they are worth.

Bait smells(from factory)
I gotta go with the old Mann baits also. Those things came in flavors and smelled good enough to eat.

Requiem for a Bandit...
Maybe you could get it's picture on milk cartons.

Best lures for the price!
I have several Rapala DT 4, 6, 8, and 10 have used them a lot for a long time and have not had the problem with the lips breaking or coming out, or the lures running bad that some have had. Cabela's had them for about 6 bucks this spring. I wonder if that problem is from certain runs on those baits?
