  1. Looking for recommendations for a good treble hook for the magdraft 8". Dumped a nice largemouth tonight.
  2. Couple on a jig finally. The slump is over ?
  3. Berkley Pit Boss, Yamamoto Senko, and the now discontinued Jackall I Shad.
  4. While a little larger than listed I really like the Ima Flit 100. They've all suspended excellent out of package too.
  5. Taipan Rods https://www.tacklewarehouse.com/rodcast.html?from=basres
  6. Stradic are really nice and I'm a Daiwa guy. Wanna say I scored my Ballistic LT for around $170 which are a solid choice too.
  7. Blanchard and NDYakAngler as well. NattieUpNorth has some quality kayak content.
  8. Only thing bad about the Sammy is how fast the hooks have to be replaced from so many fish. If you can find one highly recommend the Jackall Bowstick, if they're munching larger topwater.

Deps Buzzjet. Had some great evenings with a Jackall Pompadour.
  10. Absolutely one of my favorite techniques to fish for prespawn until the hydrilla comes in. Just cast and reel feeling the hardhead clunk and bump on the bottom. Great search bait for deep non visable smallmouth beds on drop offs before the spawning flats here on Havasu. Secured a second place in a Kayak tourney with one. Why more people here don't fish them here is mind boggling! Well stocked up on green pumpkin biffle bugs ?

I don't get it. The jig was the first lure I decided to use exclusively when learning techniques. Caught many nice quality bass with the old faithful jig. Then I learned the moving baits and reaction bite game and foolishly the jig stayed at home in the garage while chatter baits, spinner baits, underspins and lipless cranks stole the show. Last few outings absolutely nada. Green pumpkins, PB and J, black and blue, red craw, orange craw with slow drags, small hops, ect zero bites. I find it hard to believe these bass can refuse a tasty jig right now. Any insight on realigning my inner chi to unlock and harness the awesome big bass catching power of the jig? It would be greatly appreciated!
  12. 8 days past delivery for a Zillion SV and 6 for a Jackall Gigantarel. Two days from FedEx for a Gancraft 230 jointed claw from Japan. Come on USPS!
  13. Been pretty happy with my ascend H12. Kinda the best of both worlds of the sit in and sit on top kayaks. You'll definitely stay warmer in the cold months of fishing with the trade off of being hotter in the summer. It's very stable. I've had it out in 15+ mph winds and holiday boat traffic without any issues. Cons are slower speeds when paddling, not the best for customization, tracking isn't as good as some, and turning. If possible near you maybe rent a few to try out. Definitely check out the classifieds near you. Amazing deals pop up with patience and some searching. Unfortunately many people are in financial peril with covid-19 and you might find a killer deal in time.

Not interested in the NRA. Gun owners of America. They're much more proactive in protecting the 2A and not pushovers.
  15. Keitech fat impact swing from the other day.
  16. Finally bought my first Steez today. Steez A TW HS. Can already tell I will love this reel.
  17. My sentiments exactly. A 7 year old is more influenced by kids in his school than most people would think. Be an outstanding parent and guide your children. Be their number one role model.
  18. +1 on the gantarel jr. Definitely the gateway swimbait that is relatively inexpensive. Swimbaiting is highly addictive. Finally broke down and bought a Lexa 300 and DXSB rod. Caught 2 prespawn smallies over 4lbs the last week and my first double digit striped bass on a light trout color s waver 200. It's gets the blood pumping to see a follower commit.
  19. Keitech are my go to. November to about March I use the sight flash color when bass are keyed in on shad. AYU and sungill color for spring through summer.
  20. After a brief hiatus back to work. Slow rolling a war eagle over brush and timber.
  21. Late March early April it's mid to high 60s. Smallmouth will be mostly done with the spawn with plenty of largies bedding. Temp today 55.
  22. USPSA and a few 3 gun matches. Highly recommend you try out a few matches. The seasoned shooters are usually super helpful with tips especially for new members. Start dry firing now, cleaning up the draw, pressing out, and mag changes now ?
  23. A friend of mine caught his PB smallie in February on a popper. I was pretty shocked.
  24. Different strokes for different folks. In AZ it's just second nature to take a pistol. Just like getting your keys and wallet going out the door. Made the choice a long time ago to always have the option not to be a victim. I'd rather be a protector and situationally alert 24/7. I've seen quite a few road rage incidents and unfortunately millions are out of work now. I expect things to get much worse.
