Reel flex
Love all my pflueger spinning reels. And most of my Shimano ones. This was my first and last daiwa reel purchase. I also had a tatula rod that on every hookset sounded like it was going to explode . Definately not the brand for me

MLF-Sturgeon Bay
The past few years most of the older guys have been slipping. Sadly the greats all run out of steam at some point. I feel that the year kvd didn't make it to the classic a few years back is when he started steadily declining on tournament performance, it does something mentally to a man that has made it there so many times

Weigh bags
Gator grip makes a very nice bag for the money. I've been using one this year I like it. I refuse to pay a ton of money for a weigh bag and at $15 it seems like your actually getting your money's worth, they make a black and clear one I've been using the clear. I know alot of guys that use the bass mafia money bags but I'm not spending that kind of money on a bag.

Reel flex
The above is correct it is the LT.like I stated before I've used this thing from the smallest of fish to fish over 50 pounds and never an issue till now. It will soon be thrown in the pile of "backup " reels as I cannot feel confident using it anymore

Reel flex
This is the first time in the two years I have ever noticed it. I took a video no clue how to post. If someone here knows how to post it I can text the video to them so everyone here can see I'm not completely insane

Reel flex
Haha you could be on to something! I spent the rest of the evening trying to wrap my head around what was happening and still can't figure it out

Reel flex
Drag is set plenty loose. And I have caught some.massive fish on this reel. I'm talking 50#+ grass carp and such and I've never felt anything like it. Maybe I'll try to get a video of it flexing. The only other spinning reels I use are pflueger and Shimano and have never experienced this.

Reel flex
Yes. At first I thought maybe the reel was loose that wasn't the case. It felt like I could have twisted the reel in a circle

Reel flex
Any way to reduce the amount a spinning reel flexes. I've always fished Shimano but picked up a 3000 size daiwa Fuego spinning reel. Last night fighting a couple 2 pound bass the reel literally felt like it was going to snap in half it was flexing so bad. I've had the reel for about 2 years and always noticed a little bit but never felt anything like this on any reel I've ever used. It's on an IMX pro if that makes any difference to anyone

15 or 16 ft stable boat
I have a tracker pro team 165 and I have no complaints about it been using it for years. Boats that length are only going to be so stable. Boats move no matter what even giant fiberglass boats. Boats in the 16 foot range are all going to be mostly equal on stability with the same hull designs.

Drilling holes in a plastic boat.
Use some riv-nuts and silicone you'll be fine

Upgrades trolling motor vs electronics
Electronics. Use a regular anchor if you need to hold position without touching the motor. If you really want to maximize your offshore fishing humminbird 360 is invaluable. My tourney partner has it on his boat and we have won multiple tournaments that would likely not have happened without that

Repowering
The boat will likely hold the extra 15 hp over max no problem. The issue like already stated will be your insurance company covering you in the event your involved in an on the water accident. You MAY be able to get the coast guard to re-rate the boat.

Best middle of the road baitcaster ratio?
I agree with the above something in the 6.x:1 ratio is a great all around speed. Even a low 7 is fine. If you go to high of ratio even reeling super slow it can be hard at times to get your bait moving as slow as you may need to. Look at the IPT spool diameter on different reels will change this no matter the ratio.

New to Buzz Bait fishing
Take a pair of side cuts and CAREFULLY cut the lead keeper off the wire. Cut around base of the head then make a sideways cut lengthwise on the now loose piece and it will come right off. This is what I do to the crappie jigs I tied when I can't find jigheads without bait keepers and it works just perfect every time

Guides flaking
I disagree that devcon will yellow. I have fixed many rods this way and also have a ton of custom made cranks that are coated in it and it does not yellow on those either. Cheap epoxy yes I agree it will yellow and become compromised very quick in the elements
-
Massive Leak
My vote is on bad plug. I replace mine yearly. I see alot of people over tighten them which seems to compromise their ability to stay sealed
-
Guides flaking
I have fixed this issue before by sanding the area to remove all flakes and then coating with devcon 2 ton epoxy

New to Buzz Bait fishing
Over weeds, shady sides of docks, rip rap, around flooded bushes, down trees. All the same areas you would typically think to fish one.

New to Buzz Bait fishing
Many guys also fail to throw them mid day which I feel is one of my best times to throw one for BIG bites. You probably won't get a ton of bites mid day when it's 100 degrees out on one. But when you do get bit, it's worth the wait. On topic with throwing a plastic on one instead of a skirt. The only time I would do that is for skipping under docks or skipping back into thick laydown trees. If you want to add a touch of action to your bait throw a grub on there or put a skirt on that has a longer mid section that alot of the spinnerbaits come with now

Deciding on new depthfinder/ di, si, or both
I think we are mis-reading the first part about ease of use. A humminbird is way more user friendly. And has a ton more adjustment where I found with lowrance, it kind of is what it is. I like the be able to constantly tune my graphs throughout the day depending on speed water conditions etc.. And why spend the extra money on a touch screen when you try to make it a point to use the buttons so you don't have to touch the screen

Deciding on new depthfinder/ di, si, or both
Look for local fishing forums and post a wanted ad. That's how I found mine and I had that graph within 24 hours.
