@dgkasper58 I have 2 Adirondack chairs made out of the composite material myself with matching foot stools. We bought ours from American Sales in Orland Park, they have a beautiful display there and you can customize your colors along with the fact they offer 2 different Adirondack styles. We chose the more upright chairs ourselves and couldn’t be more pleased with them.

Someone correct me if I’m nuts or help verify I’m not, but didn’t someone possibly BPS make a pistol grip with a split grip that extended out of the pistol grip? I believe it was around the time of the Woo Davies rods🤔 I’m going to have to look through my old BPS catalogs.

I’m not sure of the overall policy but you can stop by the customer service desk and inquire about a rod/reel on line with a clearance price to ship to the store. I’ve inquired about having a reel shipped this way as they didn’t carry the reel in my local Walmart and although not clearance priced they were willing to do it. Unless the item clearly states unavailable to ship you may have luck that way.

So after watching a few YT videos taken at this year’s show I’m curious if anyone besides @Junk Fisherman went to the show? I went on Thursday afternoon and although I knew the seminar schedule wasn’t going to be great from my perspective I did enjoy the 2 seminars I did attend. I will say I was fairly disappointed in the Daiwa booth which was one of the larger booths in terms of both display and manpower. For clarification I asked about their BFS line in both Tatula XT and Tatula lines and more importantly if they had any on display, I was surprised to be told from 1 of 3 reps that he only uses Tatula rods and up so sorry no input on the Tatula XT and 3 reps said sorry I don’t think we have that rod BFS (Tat XT) on display. I was definitely disappointed when I found the 6’-5” rod on display but again disappointed that 3 different reps couldn’t figure out how to remove and properly line up the blank to the handle which was turned sideways meaning the guide train was completely on the right side parallel to the handle. I was very happy talking with 2 reps from 2 different kayak dealers and felt they were both professional and friendly at the same time along with being understanding of my questions even though they probably thought “go watch some videos and stop wasting my time” but again great reps and great people. I will add I visited pretty much all of the shops and although I didn’t purchase anything even though I felt most of the prices were fair I did talk with a couple different workers while there as well as visiting my favorite local to me independent store “Anglers Outlet” and found everyone at the shops very friendly and helpful. I was a tad bit disappointed in not seeing a broader selection of rod brands for sale but then I do realize the transportation that goes into transporting them there and then back if they didn’t sell is a headache I wouldn’t want. Overall I’m glad I went and I’m looking forward to the upcoming Tinley Park Fishing Show.

Unbelievable stupidity right there🤯 4th & 12 and your team is operating on a level that high and you can’t keep your mouth shut. WOW!! With that said I don’t know who wins tonight but New England has to be scared as they operated no where near this level all season in my opinion.

So I stopped at BPS last Thursday evening after being at the Chicagoland fishing expo as it was on my way home. While I was there I wound up talking with one of the sales staff and I asked if they were revamping the Panfish Elite rods and at first he said he didn’t think so but came over by me after a bit and showed me on his handheld scanner/tablet and said it appears they are going to be revamped but had no idea when they would arrive. From the little bit I could make out it appears they will have cork split grips with a EVA butt cap and more of a grey color but even the staff member said he’s not positive on the actual look. It also appears the price has increased to the $99.99 price point. My reason for posting this is if anyone is in the market for a panfish rod keep your eyes on BPS as they recently had the current series on sale for $59.99.

Although it’s been years I used 4-8 pound McCoy Mean Green on a few different spinning reels and never had an issue. I’m currently using Suffix Advance Monofilament which is a co polymer and can be found relatively cheap when using a coupon provided by Rapala themselves when you sign up for their email. I’m currently using 10 pound on baitcast reels.

I’m definitely on board with this and I’m going to give it a whirl this year 👍🏻 Also although I know the concept is zero alcohol I do find these to be the closest thing possible for my taste buds at least. YMMV.

@Team9nine If you don’t mind sharing how is the first impression on the rod? Although I’m looking at a med light extra fast action currently the specs look right for what I’m looking for. I’m looking for a true extra fast as I currently have a Cortland 6’-3” extra fast that I really like but I’m looking for something with a bit more length.

I don’t know as it may be home town bias on my end but this is literally the first time I can recall Chris Collinsworth calling a Bears game in the last 3 seasons without criticizing every thing the Bears have done. Again it may just be me but I’m just saying. I will add I don’t think it’s only reserved for the Bears either.

Did you purchase this spool yet? After the little bit of looking into the spool it appears it’s not as shallow as I was anticipating which actually makes me even more intrigued. I’m interested in comparing the weight vs the stock spool if anyone knows.

Sorry everyone I just saw the Bo Nix news on the halftime report 😬 In my defense I was outside grilling chicken and freezing my rear end off and then eating dinner and not paying much attention to what’s happening currently. I’m also going to post my personal opinion which may not be well liked but here goes. I’m not really liking the 🤔 calls all around this season and although I’m not going to say the NFL is rigged, it does seem like the more cameras and in general the more the general public can see I for one feel like the calls aren’t always as accurate as the replay’s are showing. I for one feel that as much money as the NFL has they can do a better job somehow, I know there is a expectation to keep the games moving along with all the other logistics that go into the game but again…….it may just be me. Also @Glenn the Seahawks are absolutely dominating this game on both sides of the ball as best I can tell although it’s been more of a background game up until a few minutes ago on my end.

I’m not normally one to be like 🤔 but as @Jigfishn10 pointed out, WTH was Josh Allen doing just before the half😬 I mean it’s bad enough he didn’t slide but jeez alou he dang near threw that ball backwards just before going down 🤯 Also I agree @TnRiver46 he is clutch when he needs to be.

@new2BC4bass I think you’re really going to enjoy that setup and I for one am looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it. Being a Northern guy myself (Illinois) I’m definitely looking forward to ice out and just as importantly 2 upcoming fishing shows to help get me through this cold weather. Also I absolutely love my SLX71HGA mounted to my 7’-0” med power rod.

@Kev-mo Yes the Tinley show is now held at the Tinley Convention center, like I said I haven’t been in a couple years but it was pretty good although it’s definitely not as large as the Schaumburg show.

@Bass Rutten Ed Shirley &Sons must have been broken up as they are also under the name Anglers Outlet currently in Tinley Park. I frequent them as much as possible and they are really great people.
