Spinning Finesse rod and line recommendations
Heard good things about the major craft nanoace. I’ve also never tried maxima ultra green on spinning.

Spinning Finesse rod and line recommendations
Hey all, im in the market for a new finesse setup. Ned rig, shaky head, wacky rig is what I’m mostly throwing on it so I’m looking for something quite sensitive as well. My budget for the rod is $150. Any suggestions? I prefer a M over ML for these techniques. Also looking for a reel around $100. What line should I pair it up with? I’ve always just used big game but was told if I wanted the best sensitivity to use braid. I’m not a fan of leaders at all. What line would be best for the best sensitivity with these techniques?

Bottom contact casting setup help
Hey all, I have a setup for jigs/t-rigs but it’s really old and all of it cost under $100. I’m looking for something more sensitive and just a huge upgrade in general. I’m looking for a rod and reel. My budget for both is somewhere around $150ish each. I was looking at the duckett micro magic for the rod, heard some good reviews. Not sure if the type of reel matters for bottom contact. I also use fluorocarbon and was told that braid will give me more sensitivity so I’m thinking about switching that over as well. Thoughts or suggestions?

Good fishing kayak under $1300?
So I see what everyone is saying. The kayaks that I see that comes with a rudder in my price range is the vibe seaghost and the Brooklyn kayak I’m already looking at. Any other recommendations? I want something that’s not so heavy but also is decent at tracking but it looks like a rudder could be used to help that out.

Have you used or seen them? I know they aren’t a very widely known brand.

Good fishing kayak under $1300?
That’s awesome, thank you for sharing. That looks gorgeous honestly and sounds like a great time. Also nice bass, love the colors on it. I’m in New York and the ones I catch don’t have much color pop to it, more of a dull green. My lure kayak is 34 inches wide and I feel as if it’s a little too bulky for my liking.

Good fishing kayak under $1300?
Yeah that’s the kayak I’m looking at. What do you think of it? Comes with a rudder which is good and seems to be pretty light. I have. I sadly cannot find any of them in stock anywhere. But they are in the hat of names I’m looking at. Hard to decide. Also I understand and see what you’re saying.

Broken rod repair
I’m not sure even how to do that and I personally don’t trust myself as I would most likely mess up the whole rod. Was thinking I might send to Delaware Valley Tackle on here. What do you think about this? @Delaware Valley Tackle

Broken rod repair
Hey all, so I recently ordered a rod off Amazon, (my first mistake). It came broken and barely packaged for good lord. Anyway they gave me a refund and said they didn’t want it back so now I’m thinking of ways I can use it for the heck of it. It was a Berkley lightning Rod shock. I got the heavy because I wanted to use it for frogging. What epoxy or super glue would be best to repair this and make it strong so it doesn’t snap off again? Not looking to spend a whole lot here.

Good fishing kayak under $1300?
Hey all, Ive been in the market for a new fishing kayak. I currently have the feelfree lure 11.5 v2. I love the gravity seat in it, the only problem is it is way too heavy. Looking at the specifics online it’s 87lbs without the seat. I’ve been using this for a couple years now and am looking at some kayaks. The BKC RA 220 has me really interested. I love the storage compartments right in front of the seat. The dry weight is 68lbs which is significantly lighter than what I have now. Comes with a rudder. I’ haven’t heard much about the Brooklyn brand though. Has anyone else? Any other suggestions? Standing up isn’t that important to me. I’m 5”7’ 150 so I’m not a big guy.

One Texas rig plastic….FOREVER
I like your style. Love worms with good action tails. Best producers.

One Texas rig plastic….FOREVER
I suck at tying leaders and a lot of people say braid to fluoro for t rigs but I might just switch to mono so I’ll definitely try that and big game

One Texas rig plastic….FOREVER
Great explanation I appreciate it. What’s your go to bullet weight? I would’ve said those but the zooms seem more durable to me than the original Yama’s.
-
One Texas rig plastic….FOREVER
Yeah weird. I usually have great success with them. But the fish gets what the fish wants as always. My used to be favorite t rig bait was the yama senko but they just ripped too easily to keep using them. Plus a worm with a tail that flutters or swims is deadly instead of a straight tail.

One Texas rig plastic….FOREVER
Thanks all for putting your thoughts in. My close second would be a brush hog but for some reason it fell off for me this year. I’ve also been getting many birds nest on t rigs with my fluoro this year for some reason. Thinking about switching to mono. Any suggestions on a good mono for t rigs?

One Texas rig plastic….FOREVER
Hey all, I’ve been killing it on the t rig all summer and looking back at it all, i ran through 4 bags of Zoom Ultravibe Speed Worm’s. I use this on a MH MF with 15# InvisX always with a 1/8 tungsten bullet weight. If I was stuck to only one soft plastic for Texas rig, it hands down goes to the speed worms. Here’s my question: If you were stuck to only one soft plastic for all your t rigging duties, what would it be? Doesn’t matter if it’s a creature, worm, craw or whatever. Also what setup and weight would you throw it on?

Your Ned rig setup(s)...
Nice ned head. Where did you get those? What type are they?

Weighted wide gaps
I use weighted ewg hooks for toads all the time. That’s my main use or a swim bait that I want pretty deep.

Low stretch line? CXX? Line suggestions?
I’m using a MH MF falcon HD rod with an Abu Garcia black max. I feel when I try to set the hook the line just stretches too much but I could be very wrong.

Low stretch line? CXX? Line suggestions?
Yeah I’ve been trying to figure out some low stretch fluoro as well

Low stretch line? CXX? Line suggestions?
Hey all, so I’ve recently been using a lot of low stretch line for my setups. My reasoning is I love braid that there is no stretch so it pins the fish, however I throw around a lot of rocks and wood. So I got to thinking a low stretch extremely abrasion resistant line has to be the next best thing right? It’s worked wonders for me. I still have a few questions such as does low stretch help with hook sets for singular hooks such as swim jigs, chatter bait, spinner baits and some jigs? I have been using invizx on my chatter and spinner rod and I really don’t like how much stretch the line has when I’m trying to stick the fish. Any suggestions? Would CXX be great for that too? Topwater that I throw everything including buzz baits on except frogs or lures that need a major hook set on - P-Line CXX. Chatter bait, spinner, swim jigs and some other jigs - Invizx (hasn’t been working out the best with the singular hook hook sets.) Would CXX work for this as well? Low stretch? Easy hook set with minimal give? Topwater for frogs - P-Line CXX. I have used this line for frogs for some time now and it’s d**n near perfect. You can’t break this stuff and you don’t need to go higher than 17#. Braid is also very good but I feel as a little stretch helps fight the fish. Spinning for ned rigs, shaky heads, light t rigs - I don’t know yet. Been trying to figure this out because I really like the slack line sensitivity with fluoro because I don’t reel in my slack a lot after popping a bait. However invizx is way too stretchy for me and I feel you need a good low stretch line to keep them pinned. CXX is too unmanageable to be on spinning so I’m still looking for suggestions here. What is all your guys thoughts on line with low stretch vs line with high stretch and which is best when and where? Also would love some suggestions for line types I should be using for each setup.
