Anyone running 2 of them? I have one paired with my MK ulterra and thinking about another one in the console? Does this combination present any issues?

I used to sell extended warranties as part of my job. We loved to sell them and they were seldom ever used.

I mostly use 1/16 and 3/32. Once in a while I use 1/8 because it is easier to throw on a bait caster.

Lots of tournament guys around here catch the males off the beds and are proud to do it. I personally think that it should be illegal. Once that male is gone those eggs are exposed to all the little predators lurking nearby and can no longer be kept away. I don't know how this can happen but I'd still like to see it.

If it were mine I'd put another coat of epoxy on it.

I recently saw a craw that was taken from a bass's mouth. It was green with orange splotches on it. I came up with something similar but could not get a bite on it. With that said my main colors have been root beer, black and plumb. I don't think match the hatch most of the time. I think change colors till I get a bite.

I used the foot pedal the first time or two then I quit using it and mostly just put it on auto pilot I can tap the constant on and off button and stand or sit and face any direction that I want to. I have a Lowrance hds unit at the bow along with my bird. I have the total scan transducer mounted on my trolling motor and use a Precision Sonar mount and cable holder. It is working just fine.

I just made the switch from MG and Lowrance to MK and Humminbird. I bought the Ulterra with I pilot link and a Solix. I love it.

I use several colors on mine. It is done for size so I can reach in the box and be sure I am picking up the weight that I want. Mine go brown, green, red, yellow from smallest to largest though I find that 1/16 and 3/32 are the most common sizes that I use and rarely go over 1/8 (red).

I don't think you will be able to get the tail section without pressure which means an injector. It won't hurt anything to try a couple of pours if you have the material.

That sounds very reasonable. I have a new Ulterra which I bought with I pilot and no link because I had Lowrance units. I just bought a HB Solix and got the upgrade from Ulterra I pilot to I pilot link. Just that upgrade cost me $800 and you are getting it for $500.

Yes it did. I took a guy a few years ago. He beat me like a left handed, red headed, step child. I was using 10# mono and he was using 12# fluorocarbon. We went again. I just knew I could hold my own with him. I couldn't. I now have at least 10 setups with fluorocarbon. I took him last week and had 23 to his 12. I'll stick with it.

You will have enough on your plate being in your first tournament. My suggestion is CO.

Yes it does. I think I have a good memory until I look back. I fish as many days as I can, sometimes 100 times per year. There is no way I could keep track in my head. A few times each year I go for a 2 week extended trip. If I did not keep it on the computer in my camper I would not be able to separate the days.

I have been using a spread sheet for the last 21 years. I record every trip. I keep track of time/date/water temp/air temp/sky conditions/hours fished/who's boat/launch site/moon phase/depth fish taken/main productive baits/best bait color/lake level and many more items. I keep all the records right here on my laptop so I can refer to them before and after trips. One of the best factors for me over the years is the lake levels.

I have an separate binder for my rods and reels. My insurance co. will not cover any of my other stuff. I have a max value set on replacement based on msrp.

Around here doodle socking is casting a top water over an overhanging lime, letting it down to the water and just barely letting it jiggle on the surface. It is an old river float technique.
