Is molding jig heads at home worth it?
No it is not doable in the kitchen. It takes up more room and costs a lot more to get into than making jigs. It would be worth your time for both of you to go to www.tackleunderground.com and do some reading in the respective forums. Start with the don'ts for newbies. MerderInc you won't find a better source than Cadman for pouring lead.

Help! gut hooked fish
It is going to happen sometimes. Learn how to go through the gills and turn the hook around so you can get it out without killing the fish.

So, are you supposed to leave your Boat Batteries plugged in 24/7 all-year long on the Onboard Charger?
I always call the charger manufacturer and get their recommendations. My current charger is a NOCO. I was told by them that I shouldn't leave it on for long times unless I was able to shut off everything to the batteries. I do have a master shut off and throw it when I plan to leave it on for an extended time.

Jigs smell like spray paint
Nothing to be concerned about. Have you ever smelled freshly poured plastic worms? They smell worse than spray paint. The fish don't care.

ML vs. M finesse spinning rod
Even the ML might be too much rod for the Ned. I've gone through 8 rods so far and have not yet settled on a good Ned rod.

Ned Rigs, turds and shrooms or any jig and plastic?
I have used several different head types. They all work but I bought the Midwest Finesse mold. After some mods it is all I use now as I can make heads with quality hooks for about 20% of the going price which is good since I fish lots of rocky places and go through several each trip.

Color?
Well color mattered today. We caught 46 bass with 14 of them being keepers. We threw lots of different kinds of baits in lots of colors. We caught fish on every color except JUNE BUG. I had one tied on for about 3 hours. I'd throw it for a few casts after we had caught something. I never had any action of it at all. So some times color matters.

Color?
Most of the time confidence but once in a while it is all about color.

Got me a new boat puller
I'll bet you like it. I switched to a Ford F250 this year after being a long time Chevy 2500 guy. It handles my 5th wheeler better than my Chevys did.

Quality Control - Has Z-man gone down ?
We have been noticing that their worms don't hold up as good as they used to. It used to take several fish to wear one out now it seems to only take 1.

Falcon rods ???
I have no experience with that rod but do have 5 Falcons. I have 4 low riders and 1 cara. I don't have reels on 2 of the low riders because my fishing partner and I got such a good deal we bought 20 of them.

Looking for PFD Comfy Enough to Fish In
It is only legal in MO if you have the vest pfd out of the box where it is readily accessible.

Looking for PFD Comfy Enough to Fish In
I was also needing one that I would wear. I talked to a friend of mine who works for the Corps of Engineers to see what they use. He said Mustang. He said he could work all day in one and not even notice it. So I bit the bullet and bought one. He was right. After wearing it a few times I hardly notice it at all. My other inflatable drove me nuts when I tried to wear it all day.

Jig vise
I have a vise similar to what you are thinking about. I have never been happy tying bass jigs with it. When I tie them I use a 4" bench vise that is permanently mounted to my work bench. Copper wire is my choice for rubber or silicone bass jigs, thread of some sort for hair jigs.

Lowrance Fish Finders
Personally I want the biggest screen where I spend my time (at the bow). As for size get the biggest you can afford.

Post Fishing Practices - Gear & Tackle
My rods won't go in and out of my rod locker without socks so I use them. I don't wipe down anything. I hook what ever bait is on the rod in the bait keeper, put on the sock, put them in the rod locker and go home. I usually have 6-10 setups out so I'm not taking the time to wipe all that down before I stow them. I've been doing it this way for a very long time without issues.

Mercury Trim Up not working
It sounds like a bad relay to me. You might want to be on the safe side and replace both of them.
-
Handle extension
A rod builder can do most anything you want to that rod. I bought a factory second that was 6'11" instead of 7'. That threw off the balance so that I did not like it at all. My rod guy added 1.5" to the handle and made all the difference in the world.

Dig in issue with braid on frog rod
Sounds to me like you have too much braid and too little backing.

Best/most fun lures for dinks?
Most fun for me would be a fly rod and a top water popper.

Lew’s hypermag speed spool vs. shimano Chronarch MGL
I don't own either but have an older Chronarch. It is the best reel that I own. It is just a little better than my Curados.
