  1. Never had them be better. Some about the same most worse than before.

Guess I got in too much of a hurry. I sent mine to Blue already.
  3. Call 417-887-7334 Ask for the rod and reel repair in the outlet store. If it can be had Bob will know.
  4. You can let them down by increments. In 3 fow I doubt you can go very much. I have 8' poles on a 20' boat. The brackets are in the water when the boat is stopped.
  5. For those who downloaded and tried it what do you think? I messed around with it a bit yesterday. I was not impressed. I'll try some different color pallets next time out.
  6. You should always do a hard reset after updates. BE SURE TO SAVE YOUR WAYPOINTS ROUTES AND TRAILS BEFORE DOING THE HARD RESET. I don't know the keystrokes for sure but you can find them out at the Lowrance website. I don't seem to have lost anything on my Gen 3 units.
  7. Did you do a hard reset after the update?
  8. I did the download this am. Anxious to get on the water and check the improvements.

Unless someone else signed up and I missed it then there are 9 of us so I guess 8.

I plan to sort my baits into units for each person. I will package them in zip lock bags with my screen name inside so Blue won't have to sort them and people will know who sent them.

I have shipped a thing or two to Canada. I'm thinking we need to send you at least $10 with our baits to cover shipping. I am working on finalizing my stuff. Since plastics go for less money I will be sending more of them. Blue if you will pm me you shipping info I will get mine in the mail sometime next week.
  12. If I had kids 5 and 3 I would be considering a deep V instead of a bass boat. It would be a lot safer with that age kids.

OK I have been looking at what I want to do. I will make an assortment for 15. I need to start now because it will take me some time. I am recovering from 3 fractured ribs and a ruptured lung so I can't stand and work except for short periods.

That is kind of what I had figured. So is the list complete? Am I making for 9 guys? How do we decide how many items to make for each person?

Since no one else has signed up for soft plastics, I'll make some. I am still not sure how this is going to work. Are we making some for everyone on the list of what?
  16. That is structure scan.
  17. If you are going to use it for Ned very often, I recommend that you use 6# fluorocarbon line in order to get the most bites. Your extra fast rod may cause you to set the hook too quickly if you aren't really attentive.
  18. I almost always use bc for shaky. I use rods from 6.5' to 7.5'/ 12# fluro/ 7 to 8 speed reels.
  19. Thanks for the reply. I think you are right about the design guys. I think that their geek brothers work in the sonar industry. You have to have a geek degree to use one of the new ones.
  20. I have the original SOSpenders that I bought when they came on the market. I have never liked them because of the tired neck, shoulders, and back at the end of the day so I usually wear a regular vest. I have some age and medical issues (3 fractured ribs and a ruptured lung). They tell me it will be a few months before I can freely move without stiffness and pain so I figure it is in my best interest to get the most comfortable one on the market. I have done some research and the Mustang gets good reviews. What else should I be looking at? I am not concerned with price, just comfort and functionality.
  21. I'm pretty sure that Brunswick owns Lowe so a Merc is all you can get.
  22. I had to download a photo reducing app in order to post pics here.
  23. 2d sonar is a cone figuring the exactness is a trigonometric function and I don't remember which one it is. Generally speaking at 200 kHz the cone widens out until it reaches the bottom of the water column. The bottom of the cone has a diameter of approximately 1/3 of the depth so in say 15 feet of water you would be seeing a circle with a diameter of about 5'. Down scan is a whole different animal.
  24. I like the Zoom swim chunk best.
  25. You might be surprised as to how long you can be out with a good battery. You will need a battery with lots of reserve capacity (rc) don't look at mca or cca. The larger the number the longer it will last. I would get no less than 180 rc. Batteries come in series size. Go for at least a 27 series, 29 or 31 would be better. You will need a charger for the battery. It needs to be recharged after every day's use.
