Dozens of the Rayburn, Foxy Shad, and Tennessee Special in 5/8 but sold out of the Chartreuse and Citrus shad in 5/8 down here at the San Jose Bass Pro. Got every color in the smaller version though.

Went to Bass Pro last night to look at depth finders for the new yaks. Ended up with a Helix 7. Got the Spring Classic sale of $400 OTD so the spring classic sale prices might be already uploaded into their system.

Me and the wife picked up new Slayer Propel 10’s. For her its the perfect size since shes only 5’ tall. I dont mind it either. Nimble boat although it just strikes me as a bare bones peddle kayak. Im a sucker for storage compartments sadly lol.

After meeting with Dan and the staff over at Headwaters Kayak in Lodi and demo’ing a few kayaks me and the wife ended up with a good deal and got 2 new Slayer Propel 10’s. Living in San Francisco it was just ideal for ease of transport and storage.

Before trying out the new jigs..ended up going to Dick’s since I had a couple of coupons to burn. Ended up with a Shimano SLX DC for $130.

Yeah, I wish the head was a lighter brown instead of a dark brown but im assuming it’ll chip anyways lol

As part of wanting to be a better jig angler this year..I bought a couple of Bass Patrol Jigs and some Baby D Bombs for trailers. Heres one of them in PBJ with a green pumpkin purple trailer.

Cool, thats good to know. Shes really driven this year to start tourny angling..more so than me lol. Hopefully in these coming months we’ll be buying our kayaks, of course not before demoing a couple.

Do any females enter angling tournys? I only ask because my wife is dead set on kayak tourny angling this year and she doesnt recall seeing any females in competition which leads her to believe that females cannot enter lol.

Our Dick’s fishing section isnt going anywhere here in Daly City. They’re actually expanding it due to the hunting section closing according to the workers in the fishing section. I got no issues with Dick’s, if the price is too high I find it online somewhere cheaper and just have them price match it. No issues here.

Well we were at Bass Pro the other day and I was specifically looking at the FL but im not complaining lol.

Early Xmas gift from the wife..Stradic ci4 2500. Tested it out today in the rain nonetheless lol.

I have a 3000 no issues with it. Fishes great..I did however had to add a washer to the spool to even out the line lay. Otherwise, for the price cant go wrong with it. Now my wife on the other hand owns a ci4 and a tatula LT so yeah..much rather have those lol.

Stocked up on some Ned stuff.

2-3 hours a day after work 3-4 days a week. On our days off though me and the wife will spend about 6-8 hours beating the banks.

Love my Lew’s HyperMag..very smooth, casts far, handles light lures no problem. Although I feel like all the high end Lew’s are the same at least as far as internals are concerned. They’re just made out of different materials, the body that is lol.

You’re going to get all types of responses from the cheapest Fluoro, to mono to braid. I personally have 14-16# FC Sniper/Invizx fluoro spooled on my baitcasters but I do have a spool of 12# Yo-Zuri Hybrid thats going to go on one of my baitcasters. Basically just comes down to user preference.

Picked up a Lew’s Super Duty w/ the flipping switch on sale to finally put on my heavy rod. Spooled with 65# braid

Ended up getting a finesse setup for myself also lol. Not as nice as the wifes Tatula but still nice nonetheless. Dont mind the cat lol shes just happy we’re back home from a bowling tournament in Reno.

Bought the wife a finesse setup. Tatula LT with the Tatula Rod M/F. Love how light this setup is..im jealous lol.

I have the Mach Crush combo..other than it being uncomfortable to palm, I love it. I use it more than my HyperMag/Levante DSR set up lol.

Nothing too fancy here. A 6’6” Lews Xfinity combo M/F spooled with 6lb fluoro. Mainly just use it for Ned Rigs. Gets the job done.

I use size 3 snaps for my cranking and jig applications. Just convenience more than anything not having to cut and retie
