  1. 2lbs is big where we fish..get to around 5 its considered a pig. Bass here in the immediate Bay Area at least the 5+ are rare..at least to us lol.
  2. Kinda figured that since the wifes Tatula does it as well..probably my OCD just bugging the hell out of me lol
  3. Never did like how the Fuego LT lays line..even with 2 spacers it wasnt laying line evenly. Other than that, for a $100 cant really beat it, smooth, light, and its mag sealed.
  4. Second time a catfish has bit my okashira screwhead/hazedong shad.
  5. Sucks they still dont ship to California ?
  6. Ned rig/spinnerbaits. I’ll throw these regardless of conditions. Probably missing out on a lot of fish being hard headed throwing a spinnerbait even when its blue bird skies and flat calm lol
  7. Black/blue Yum Dinger on a texas rig..one of the few texas rig catches in my year of bass fishing.
  8. Birthday fish! My biggest Spot ever
  9. Didn’t see too many reviews on this since its new so I thought I’d do a quick write up just to give people an idea if they’re on the fence about picking one up. Ordered the 7’ M Spinning model to use as an all around finesse rod. Got a chance to take it out today..I currently have it paired with a Shimano Stradic Ci4+ 2500 (Shimano on Daiwa I know, blasphemy lol). I was mainly throwing around a 1/8 Okashira Screwhead with a Hazedong Shad, balance wise, it balances at the end of the foregrip, very comfortable to hold. The tip on this particular model is pretty stiff, probably could’ve done with the ML and be fine but I have no issue with it. Rod loads on a cast quite well and especially on a hookset, backbone is great, had no issue bringing in 2lb Spots and even a 5lb Channel Cat (who knew they eat Okashira Screwheads lol). Sensitivity wise, if I had to compare it to a rod I own casting or spinning, I would say its on par if not better than my Megabass Levante DSR. Now what I don’t like..I don’t like that it doesn’t have a hook keeper, minor issue I know but its just an inconvenience. I’m also having issue with the locking nut on the reel seat Which is on the bottom coming loose everytime I go to hook a fish. Now, I’m not sure if thats because its new But I’m hoping with more time it’ll break in and stay still. All in all I’m pretty happy it, its aesthetically pleasing to look at, has that JDM look and feel to it.
  10. Feels good in hand just sucks theres no hook keeper
  11. Thank you for the update! I was only asking because I too have a Rebellion coming in but in the 7’ M spinning model. The HVF had me curious because I have a Tatula Bass that uses the SVF blank and I find that rod for the money to be quite sensitive. Anyways thanks again for the review!
  12. I feel the same way lol..although I always throw them even if to no avail since I’m determined to make it work. There is however one body of water I go to where they’ll just hammer a swim jig/swimbait
  13. Interested to see how sensitive it is with the HVF blank..keep us updated!
  14. Haven’t really used a wacky rig much anymore but when I did it was always weightless.
  15. I second that Megabass statement. I need to reload on Spark/Hazedong shads lol. Paired with the Screwheads, its been doing work on the waters I fish.
  16. Not really a difference as Tywithay said. My wife owns 2 of them. The 6 and an 8 gear ratio. Other than being smaller and different grips..not much difference performance wise. Then again her hands are smaller than mines so she prefers it much more lol
  17. We have this trailer but the Super Duty one..be warned though, the instructions suck and nothings labeled lol. Other than that its a good trailer.
  18. Rods came in and my reel. 744c paired with a Tatula SV TWS for me. 684c and the 683 SF for the wife.
  19. Oh perfect, thanks! I was planning on grabbing a tatula sv tws for this rod in the first place
  20. Ordered 3 rods on the last day from Dobyns. Scheduled delivery is for tomorrow. Now just need a new reel for it...where the sales at ?
  21. Went fishing after work yesterday caught my first jig fish of the year lol..then my wife caught her first jig fish ever and what a first jig fish for her it was lol
  22. It aint big but I got one on the Xcalibur remake lol
  23. Me and the wife both are in a Slayer Propel 10..now when we went to demo, I had every intention on leaving with a Titan but I’m only 5’7 and my wifes only 5’ and trying to constantly car top it on top of a 4runner was just not going to work. Also demoing the Slayer 10 I found it was plenty stable to stand and fish out of but car topping 2 of them is a pain as well so we ended up buying a trailer lol.
  24. Native Titan’s are plenty stable as well..got a chance to demo one and was fishing in it standing up with no issues at all. These wide boats are heavy though so without a truck or a trailer transportation can be a PITA.
