  5. So I live in a subdivision located on the Ross Barnett Reservoir and today I was out fishing off the bank of this bay that backs up into the neighborhood and found a gator egg just past our boat ramp. Ive heard momma gator pretty aggresively protect their eggs so was a little discomforting being right there in our subdivision. Needless to say I didnt hang around that area long lol.

  9. Ok so Ive saw a few lawn mower engines converted to outboards on youtube. Seemed pretty cool, this would more or less be a project. Anybody ever done this? Or know where I can find info on it? Im kinda confused as to how the bottom end works?
  10. So its been a while since Ive been on but Im back. Been a long time since I been on the water almost 2 years, between the economy and a costly divorce. But saturday I will finally be back on the water and Im so so so looking foward to it.
  11. very good point catt, i really like throwing a baitcaster alot more and can easily throw light line and lures with them so thats probably what Ill be doing most of finesse fishing with
  12. Fish on baby, fish on. No offseason for me.
  13. Why when finesse fishing do you use spinning tackle and not baitcasters? Ive used a little of both, most people I know use spinning tackle, I just cant see the advantage of a spinning reel over the baitcaster. To me finesse is mainly the type of bait you're using, the line and presentation. So what's you guys opinion on this?
  14. in my experience anything with the name lucky craft on it is well worth the money, every lc bait ive ever used has always produced for me.
  15. Ya I really wasnt wanting to spend too much is why I was questioning about the Frogg Toggs, everybody Ive talked to that uses the Gor-Tex loves it, but I aint trying to spend that much right now if I dont have too.
  16. Im in need of some new rain gear, thinking of buying some Frogg Toggs. What do you guys think of the Frogg Toggs? I was looking at the bibs and the jacket. How do they do in the wind, rain or the cold even????
  17. avid, id say with all the norman cranks that ive used they fit the wide wobble category. ive been using the little deep n, dd18 and dd22
  18. Few weeks ago I picked up a couple of Spro rattletraps or lipless cranks, whatever youd like to call them. Anyways, tied one on this morning for the first time, 1/2 ounce size in Magic tiger was the one I was throwing. Its really a good quality bait and fished good and then of course there was the fact that I killed them on a grass flat throwing this bait this morning. .
  19. a local guy here that builds custom baits hooked me up with a similar bait, walk the dog/prop bait, i actually hadnt even tied it on and tried it yet so i really dont know how well it works
  20. I bought some Uncle Josh No 11 Pork Frog last night, planning to use as a trailer for my jigs. Planning on trying them for the first time tomorrow. Anybody here tried the Uncle Josh Baits if so did you have good luck out of them?
  21. In my book theyve got the best deep cranks out there, the norman little deep n, in lavender shad has been putting alot of quality fish in the boat for me
  22. So Im wanting to pour some soft plastics, how long after you pour it in the mold do you leave before removing? after it cools maybe?
