It’s literally all Opinion. Seems like your looking to count how many positive or negative opinions u get on this to make your decision. U r going to get Shimano guys pushing there favorite and Diawa guys pushing the Sv. And maybe a few other pushing there favorite. In that price point your going to get a good reel. I have Shimano / Daiwa / and 1 Okuma in my baitcasters.. 3 or 4 r sv’s .. the Sv’s to me r worth everything I spent on them. No issues, no noise , no Geary stuff. Same with my Okuma and my Shimano’s except my dc’s, of course they r noisy lol

..it’s the point to me to compare line diameter as well .

Yea should be.. without looking up 12# yozuri which I use on my Cb and Jerkbait rods diameter is equal to 16# Sniper.. love Yozuri .. that line just proves the need to compare line diameter not poundage . Again didn’t check .. just the reminder of diameter is so important to compare

Love the Elite, cast as far as my Tatula Hlc Jdm but palms much better than the Hlc . As mentioned above distance can be subjective but it just lobs them out there . You won’t be disappointed. Compared to the Sv and P/F well the Elite I use for bombing where as the S/v P/f well mostly pitching , roll casts, skipping..My Tat 100 I use for whatever .

Love my Sv’s and Tatula Elite and Elite P/F.. but I’ll throw a wrench in… I picked up the new Okuma Hakai The other week in a 6 spd.. running 12# Sniper on a Dobyns Kaden 713 .. I have been Thoroughly enjoying this reel . Never had an Okuma reel and never thought of buying one til started seeing a few posts here about it. Swallowed the bait(lol) and ordered one. Will probably get another at some point .

Have 3 or 4 SV TW103‘s . Have 1 of the Elite P/F’s . Like it just as much as the 103’s . To edit think for sure you would find a rod you prefer it with over the 103 once you have it.

For me a 7spd is my go to.

I’ve bought I one rod and one reel at a local shop.. and that was Dicks sporting good’s. They had a Slx Dc in stock .. There r no local shops to get my hands on anything.. Bass pro or Cabela’s but never really have in stock what I use.

In the same “boat” .. not sure what battery to go with should I pull the trigger .. which possible new job may effect that as would be on the road a lot . But anyways my situation is a 7 mile lake with a average with of a 1/4 mile to a 1/2 mile . The xi3 would be used to get to destinations where I would be in shallows not using motor for most of casting time just point to point .. I’m sure I’ll use the spot lot in areas as well but again will be mainly used to get to point to point. Fishing this lake I choose a ramp and fish that area within a mile or so . Would that change with xi3.. probably but not alot.

Have 11 or 12 Dobyns rods .. 4 power I have Champ 744dx, Champ 734xp, Sierra 684 , Kaden 610 4 cb , Love them all but the Dx is … well it’s Dx lol. I really can’ t wait to get the Kaden 610 4 cb out as haven’t fished it yet .

I use alot of braid . A Few reels with Flouro or co-poly. Why? Because its what I like. My flouro is my typical cranking reels. I am no pro, don’t like a lot of stretch unless I’m fishing a lure that needs it .. where your rod comes into play as well keeping your PB pinned . Sure there r quote unquote rights and wrongs. I experiment more and more . Whatever works for me .

If I sit down I can pass out about anytime.. Lately getting to sleep at night has been an issue.. going to my main lake pending what I do night before I’m up at 3 to 4 am .. on the water by 6… that’s the goal anyway .
